Excellent location away from the madness of Cebu. Proximity to the beach and restaurants and convenience stores. The ensaymada that I could take home. The buffeet breakfast that had a reasonable selection to showcase local regional cuisine. The champorado and taho are must-trys :).
The check-in went smoothly. The staff who took care of our booking was very professional and although I booked very last minute, I still managed to have rooms on the same floor as we were traveling with our kids. It was not right beside each other but the solution was perfect.
In a previous stay, we also managed to enjoy the Savoy beach facilities - so that was more than what we asked for and was very happy to know that there is pool and beach access for booking with the Savoy.
I also love the fact that this hotel is very near Mactan airport. None of the early departures needed just to make it to a flight.

Not much. I thought the sidewalk cafe outside - assuming that was theirs - was cute and reasonably priced. But that's about it.
Horrible value for money. AT the prices they charged, I was expecting so much more. What I got was a business hotel comparable to Seda or Radisson but costing double what I usually pay at the other two. Breakfast wasn't even include din what I paid, so total cost would have been higher if I'd eaten breakfast there. Gym was cramped, they had this weird wrapper around the dumbbells that made gripping them icky, and choices of equipment were limited. Lobby was cramped.
The location, the units, the breakfast and the people were all very good.

I have a kidney disease, and I requested extra bottles of water for which I was charged. How petty!!
This seems a pathetic way for a professional hotel to behave. To save just a few pesos I had to go out to the 7-Eleven to buy some water.
It left such a bad taste in my mouth, but then again, that may have been because I have no water to rinse it!!!

Our room was next to the lift shaft and was very noisy
Very clean and comfortable room! We stayed once on NYE and enjoyed the NYE party down on the beach at an extra cost. And we also stay once more the night before we travelled home, which we paid extra to have a late check out so we spent a lovely day down at the Macton Newtown beach area and then went back from a shower and a nap. It was just a 20-30 min drive to the airport.
Breakfast buffet we didn't think was very good, apart from the freshly made omelettes, these were great.
We didn't find much of a great restaurant or bar selection outside of the hotel.
What I like about Savoy Hotel Mactan is its location in one of Cebu’s most premium seaside settings, where guests can truly relax and feel away from the crowds. The hotel offers a private beach that is exclusively for guests, creating a peaceful and secure atmosphere that feels special from the moment you arrive.
The beachside pool adds to the experience, allowing guests to enjoy stunning ocean views while swimming or lounging by the water. Whether it’s sunrise walks along the shore or quiet afternoons by the pool, the setting feels refined yet welcoming. Savoy Hotel Mactan perfectly combines comfort, exclusivity, and natural beauty, making it an ideal place to unwind and enjoy Cebu at its finest.
What I didn’t like about the hotel is that there is very limited nightlife around the area and no easy access to local food or cuisine nearby. The surroundings feel quiet and secluded, which may not appeal to guests who want to explore Cebu’s local culture, dining, and evening activities. To experience the local scene, guests need to travel at least 15–20 minutes by rickshaw, which can be inconvenient, especially at night or for those who prefer walkable areas with more options.
Location was good and staff very friendly and helpful
Shower was half hanging off the wall so made showering difficult and water was pretty cool.
