My recent stay in the Special Category room at Ferman Konak Hotel was easily the highlight of my trip, and I can’t recommend it enough—especially for the incredible kindness of one staff member, Berat!

The real standout moment came on my check-out day, when I accidentally twisted my ankle right before leaving. Struggling with several heavy suitcases, I was at a loss—until Berat stepped in. He immediately took all my bulky luggage and carried them down for me with no hesitation. His quick help and genuine concern turned a tough moment into a stress-free one, and I’m so grateful for his kindness 🥹.

The Special Category room itself was wonderful, spacious, bright, and decorated with charming local touches that made it feel cozy. The hotel’s shared spaces are equally impressive: the community kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for whipping up simple meals with local ingredients. And the little garden 🌿 is a peaceful oasis—ideal for unwinding with a cup of tea amidst greenery after a day of exploring.

The location is great, within walking distance to attractions and eateries. Every staff member was friendly, but Berat’s thoughtful assistance truly made this stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely choose Ferman Konak Hotel again and recommend it to everyone.

Ik had andere kamer gevraagd omdat ik claustrofobie heb want ze hadden mijn kelder kamer gegeven, ze lachten mij gewoon uit. Ik ben proberen blijven maar ik kon niet slapen. na 1 nacht ik ben weg gegaan. en had nog tans voor 3 nachten betaald en heb mijn geld niet terug gekregen.

Pros:

Sehr nettes Personal, hilfsbereit, immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Zumindest die Herren an der Rezeption :) Die Putzfrauen sind auch nett. Lage ganz gut, sehr zentral. Preis Leistung sehr gut.

Cons:

Teilweise hellhörig die Zimmer, aber hat nicht viel gestört.

Pros:

We stayed at Ferman Konak Hotel–Special Category from 15 to 22 August and had a very good experience. The room was clean and comfortable—nothing fancy, but it had everything we needed. The hotel was quiet and well kept. A special shout-out to the manager, Beat, who was exceptionally polite and helpful and made our stay smoother. Overall, good value for a pleasant, worry-free stay.

Cons:

Nothing major—room is simple, so don’t expect luxury, but it’s more than adequate.

Pros:

El apartamento es perfecto. Se puede ir caminando a la mayoría de los sitios más turísticos de Estambul, y tanto las instalaciones como el personal es muy amable. El primer día nos atendió Berat, quien nos ayudó en todo y nos explico un poco sobre la ciudad. Además, ofrecen un desayuno en el hotel que tienen justo al lado que merece mucho la pena.

Very close to restaurants and areas of interest.
Walking distance to hagia sophia.
Is a good choice for first time travellers and good value for money.

Cons:

A bit outdated, you can hear the train outside and also we visited during Ramadan and prayers could be heard early in the morning.

Pros:

Staff was mostly nice, except one lady who stared at us while we were drinking coffee

Cons:

The place is going through RENOVATION so there was a construction site and it was VERY loud, starting early from 8-9 AM late up until 10 PM one night (staff says they don't start until 10 AM but that's wrong as we had our alarms set for that time and were woken up by noises instead). The problem is that that information cannot be found anywhere on booking so it was quite a disappointing surprise when we got there.
Also, because of construction it's not the cleanest at least currently (dust everywhere etc)
Also bring your own shampoo/toiletries. You'll get those there but one brand is writren on the bottle and something else entirely is inside (when you google product you see it's a different color) and the "shower gel" we used on day 1 burned our skin.
