Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at Kameleon Blue. From the moment I arrived, the receptionist Julius gave me such a warm welcome and truly made me feel at home. His hospitality set the tone for the entire stay. All the other staff were equally friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

The food was excellent, the spicy octopus curry was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Compliments to the kitchen!

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable. To top it all off, the live music on Monday was entertaining and created a lovely atmosphere.

Overall, a great experience. I would definitely recommend Kameleon Blue and look forward to visiting again.

We loved Kameleon Blue so much we booked another night .
It's a small lodge with just a few villas and a few rooms so it feels very homely. It's tucked away between bigger places , in a beautiful garden , with the small but beautiful and quiet beach just a 5 min walk away. Everyone working there treats you like family who are genuinely interested in you happiness and wellbeing, from Clifton and Julius to the very sweet Rachel and Nassor and indeed, chef Toby who magics up wonderful food worthy of a 5 star restaurant.
Our little villa was spacious and comfortable.
Highly recommended!

Mysigt och prisvärt med bäst kök och mysiga rum.
Pros:

Liten bit bort från allt stoj nere i Fiskebyn, men bara några minuters promenad från havet. Den närmsta stranden är liten och har i stort sett inga försäljare som stör. Hotellet har en ganska stor meny med många olika typer av mat att välja på och personalen är verkligen superproffs. I Kizimkazi kan du snorkla ut till koraller direkt från stranden, om du lyckas lista ut var de är. Hotellet har en smakfullt designad trädgård med pool och en mysig utomhusyoga/gym-bungalow.
På måndagar har de live-musik och bbq.
Mycket blandat klientel, både par, singlar, familjer bor här och till restaurangen kommer även västerlänningar som bosatt sig här och äter. Bra betyg!

De har solceller och generator, så elavbrotten hanteras bra.

Cons:

Lite ensidig frukost, som de flesta ställen här på ön.

Camaleón Blue ha sido especial porqué te hacen sentir en casa,son super agradables y la cocina es la mejor que hemos probado en Zanzíbar y además genial de precio.

Pros:

Kameleon Blue was a beautiful garden property, featuring comfortable leisure furniture, a bar, and a pool. The food was absolutely delicious, and our room was spacious and comfortable.

Cons:

The property is somewhat isolated, which might not be an issue elsewhere, but in this area the roads are largely unpaved and there is no street lighting. As a result, after our evening walks, we had to return to the hotel through complete darkness for about 15–20 minutes, which felt uncomfortable and unsafe. We recommend being prepared to use taxis frequently.

Additionally, our bathroom was in need of some maintenance and could have been in better condition.

Nice place for relaxing
Pros:

I have stayed 4 nights with my 3 kids and wife at Kameleon Blue. We have enjoyed the beautiful garden, the pool and the restaurant area, The staff were very friendly and helpful The food a bit pricy but tasty. The place is quiet and one can make nice walks in the surroundings, without the crowds.

Cons:

The closest beach is very small and because of the tides most of the day flooded. The nearest bigger beach is a 20 min walk, But the fishers and residents do not care to keep it clean for the visitors, which is sad. There is a lot of rubbish, also coming with the water from the mainland.

Csodás hely, kényelmes szobák, kedves személyzet. Hétfőn este zenés est. Finom, választékos reggeli. Gyönyörű kert, tele virágokkal, fákkal. Nincs szúnyog! A vacsora étlapról rendelhető, elfogadható árakkal. A sör hideg az étel finom. 🥰. Bárkinek ajánlom.
Aki tengerparti hotelt akar ne ide menjen. A tenger kb 500 m , és nem igazán jó. De mi ezt tudtuk, viszont kiváló a medence.

Beautiful relaxing place
Pros:

Very relaxing place! Usually awesome food (very depending on the cook - Portion, ingredients, seasoning varies a Lot) and ready to react on allergies, thank you!
Richard is the good Soul of the place, He is the most professional, Kind and thoughtful Host I could think of, thank you so much!! Especially for the Aloe Vera for my sunburn!
Lucy is a great Yoga teacher, best recommendations 🤩
The 8-bed-dormitory is a really roomy, arty place, Peace and Beauty for your Soul! 🌴

Cons:

The shower and tapwater is Salt water! So No real possibilty to wash Salt off the skin and get Clean. Especially in case of injury or other sanitary incidents.
The door of the bathroom clamps so Bad that i panicked several Times that i wont get out.
The lower beds of the bunkbeds Had old mattresses that needed replacing. The upper one was very good still!
Power and WiFi Cuts happended a Lot.
When i arrived tired and with nausea I was treated with little understanding: No explanations but I was expected to ready minds instead, very rude, no excuse for the inconveniences. Not possible to pay the stay and all expenses together. Welcome Drink forgotten.

Un immense MERCI & un grand BRAVO à Annick et à toute son équipe pour votre superbe accueil et pour tous les efforts déployés pour rendre notre séjour plus qu'agreable. Le staff est très disponible, sympa et toujours souriant et à l'écoute des différents besoins.
Ce lodge est une véritable oasis de fraîcheur paisible entourée d'un magnifique jardin avec belle piscine (plutôt un superbe parc très bien entretenu ;) L'espace réception/bar est soooo friendly !!
Tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour terminer notre séjour en Tanzanie 🙏
Et oui en Tanzanie, il y a des coupures d'électricité : ce n'est pas de la faute des gérants, du personnel ou des habitants 😉 oui, il y a parfois de la musique tard dans la nuit... perso j'adore !! Quant aux insectes... pas de végétation/pas d'insectes... à vous de choisir ;) Je n'en ai pas vu tant que ça au Kameleon Blue...
Nous avons apprécié, nous recommandons et reviendrons ;) Une top adresse !!

The breakfast here was absolutely fantastic! It is clear that the chef is passionate, as every dish (even outside of breakfast) was prepared to perfection. I noticed that many of the guests in the restaurant had traveled from outside the area just to dine here, which speaks volumes about the quality of the food. Highly recommended!

Cons:

Honestly, there was nothing I didn't like. Everything from the service (great staff) to the atmosphere was perfect, and the food truly exceeded all my expectations. It was a flawless experience from start to finish!

Cool place!
Pros:

What a lovely hotel out in a lovely peaceful coastal village in the South of Zanzibar. Perfect place to just relax, chill out and have yummy food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was also amazing. Luckily I was there on a “Blue Monday” which are live music nights…would definitely recommend.

Esperienza fantastica, location immersa nel verde, strutture curate e ricercate in stile africano, colazione e cene OTTIME, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Eventi settimanali organizzati all’interno della struttura. È andato oltre l’aspettative!

Komme immer wieder gern. Richtig zum relaxen.

Internet eignet sich Großteils zum Remote arbeiten. Ab und zu bricht es ab.

Pros:

This is a little oasis within Kizimkazi. You have everything what you need, excellent food (breakfast is included, other drinks and food you can order at the bar and can pay also by card), swimming pool, you can book tours, they offer workshops, yoga and massages (I loved it) and they try to support and involve the community around the area, for me a big plus. I also participated in the village walk, just be prepared and bring maybe food, clothes, pencils etc for the people in this poor village.

Cons:

The beach for swimming but you will have beautiful sunsets.
