Pros:

Un lieux vraiment beau et très accueillant, très végétal avec une belle piscine ! Tout le confort nécessaire, terrain de pétanque, yoga, massages, restaurant, billard quoi demander de plus ??

Le personnel est vraiment très sympa et souriant, au petit soin !

La chambre est propre et grande, la salle de bain est grande aussi avec des serviettes à disposition.
Il y a aussi une terrasse privée devant la chambre 🙏🏻
Il n' y a pas de clim mais des ventilateurs sur le plafond, qui marchent très bien et permettent de faire circuler l'air !

Le restaurant est assez bon, les jus de fruits frais sont top !
le petit déjeuner copieux et on peut choisir sur la carte.
Il y a une bonne ambiance douce avec du jazz la journée et certains soirs des concerts sont proposés !

La plage est à quelques mètres en sortant du lodge ainsi que le village

Je recommande vivement 🙏🏻

We had an amazing stay at Chameleon Blue Lodge on the beautiful island of Zanzibar. The location is truly special, surrounded by nature and wildlife, which creates a peaceful and authentic atmosphere. We always felt very safe and welcomed.

What makes this place unique is the strong sense of community—you’re not isolated like in many resorts, but genuinely connected with the staff and local culture. The food was excellent, always fresh, with delicious fish, vegetables, and fruit.

It’s the perfect place to relax, reconnect with nature, and experience Zanzibar in a more meaningful way. The host was incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive throughout our stay.

We highly recommend this lodge and would definitely come back!

What a hidden gem Blue Kameleon is! I originally came here for two nights to find some peace and quiet, and I found that almost immediately. Very quickly I fell in love with the atmosphere of this place.

From the very first moment you receive a warm welcome. The hostess, Annick, is truly amazing. She always makes sure everything is exactly as it should be and is happy to help with anything you might need. Don’t hesitate to ask if something isn’t fully to your expectations. Annick is a real super host who puts a lot of effort into training her team, and it clearly shows. The team does a fantastic job welcoming guests in a friendly and personal way, and feedback is genuinely appreciated here.

Another impressive thing is that Annick speaks many languages, including French, Italian, German, and even a bit of Dutch if you’d like. This makes guests from all over the world feel comfortable and understood.

Blue Kameleon is perfect for both solo travelers and couples. There are hostel-style rooms as well as private villas on the property, so there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is open-minded, relaxed, and a bit alternative — perfect if you are looking for a peaceful and unique place to stay.

There are also plenty of activities to enjoy. You can start your day with yoga in the morning, relax with massages during the day, and even join Muay Thai training in the evening. There is also a pool table where guests can hang out and have some fun together. And the beach is only a few minutes’ walk away from this hidden paradise.

And I haven’t even mentioned the food yet — the breakfast and meals at Blue Kameleon are absolutely delicious. The price-quality ratio? Easily 10/10.

Heerlijk ontspannen.
Pros:

Heel mooie tuin met zwembad en schaduw. Ruime schone kamers. Goed eten en vriendelijk personeel. Wordt gerund door een heel vriendelijke Luxemburgse eigenaresse.

Cons:

Airco vond ik wel op zijn plaats. Nu fans. De zee is wat verder weg maar geen gemis.
