Amazing experience very close to Addo Elephant park
Pros:

The main house is beautiful with many lovely sitting areas and pools. Our little cottage on the other side of the property was situated in a big garden with another pool. It was very specious and comfortable - just the safe didn’t work and the door only stayed closed when you locked it. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast absolutely delicious. We booked some game drives which were all organized perfectly.

Pros:

Wonderful old-style colonial house now a hotel, with three pools. The staff were wonderful. They even washed my car for me - no charge! The breakfasts were delicious by the pool and it’s super-close to Addo elephant park.

Cons:

Nothing. It was great.

Out of Africa setting!
Pros:

Beautiful open air spaces with creative African architecture! We felt like we had finally arrived in Africa! Wonderful staff and a great Safari experience!

Prijs-kwaliteit heel goed.
Pros:

Het hotel kent een verzorgde traditionele inrichting, met een uitstekend ontbijt en zeer vriendelijke medewerkers. De locatie in functie van diverse Game Drives is uitstekend.

Cons:

De ramen zijn enkel glas, waardoor oordoppen wenselijk zijn tijdens de nacht. De route die het hotel afraadt neem je inderdaad beter niet.

Pros:

Beautiful old world charm. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. It was a last minute booking, but all our needs were met. A very restful place to be after a hard day's work. We will definitely stay there again. Very conveniently situated only 10 minutes from Addo Elephant Reserve main gate.

Pros:

Echt schitterende locatie!!! Appartement is groot met buitenkeuken, grote veranda met lekkere stoelen. Hoofdgebouw is ongelooflijk fraai met prachtige buitenruimtes. Hier was ook het ontbijt. Zonder twijfel één van de beste ontbijten ooit gehad. Alles van zulke goede kwaliteit. Ontvangst was erg leuk, hele aardige jongen, leerde zelf over hospitality, die komt er wel! Niets dan lof voor deze plek, doen!

Perfect! Close to Addo in relaxing beautiful gardens and tasty breakfast to start the day.
Pros:

Welcomed warmly by the staff and owner and his following of loyal friendly dogs. Adored the colourful vases of fresh flowers which were placed in our cottage on our arrival. Such a lovely touch! Beautiful relaxing courtyards, fascinating historical photographs and objects and comfortable shady sitting areas and traditional colonial artefacts. Fascinating slice of a time past. Very relaxing atmosphere- wish we could have stayed longer to linger and soak in the surroundings and chat a bit more to the owner. Hopefully we will return again in future as our first visit to South Africa was amazing!

Cons:

Unfortunately we booked a room on the same day and emailed hoping for a game drive but no reply received and it turned out the afternoon and morning drives were fully booked. However it didn’t matter as our self drive the following day was phenomenal!
The wonderful huge shower did not drain properly and it was clearly an ongoing issue as there was fresh digging to reach pipes outside the cottage.
