Bed and breakfast
So close to the gautrain. Literally over the road from the station. Lots of security around.
Very expensive for a posh premier inn. But cannot complain about anything and breakfast was amazing. Such attentive staff.
The housekeeping staff were professional like Anastasia and the staff at the restaurant like phi.
The room was pretty good, no complaints there. There are better rooms available than the one I was allocated (I have stayed several times before) but it had all the facilities I needed, was comfortable and I have no complaints. the staff on the reception desks were all very friendly and welcoming and provided anything I asked for. The lady who serviced the room was very good. Breakfast was good, a good range of food and the chef on the egg station was excellent - she made a great omelette and can cook eggs sunny side up (yes really.) Plenty of hot black tea available from early in the morning which is what I like when I come down to work early in the morning.
This was the biggest issue of the stay. I didn't book breakfast with the room and I really don't like being chased around the hotel by someone trying to get me to pay for something when I have several days left to stay. Normally in hotels I check in, do the things I want to do and pay the bill when I leave. But honestly she made me feel like I was somehow trying to defraud the hotel. And, no I did not want to pay for breakfast days before I ate it.

The location is excellent. Staff is friendly, the room is a decent size.
The breakfast would benefit from better muesli/ granola. Had to ask for honey (kept with the tea) and I couldn’t find a spoon. The interiors are okay but definitely becoming a bit dated.
