Bed was a little less plush feeling than hotels typically
Lovely quiet hotel with large comfortable rooms and lovely staff. Breakfast was a great way to start the day
Overall, we enjoyed our trip and our stay at the hotel. The room could use some updating, or at least some fresh paint on the doors and electrical outlets on both sides of the bed for guests’ convenience. We really enjoyed the food, and the breakfast included with our stay was delicious. We also appreciated how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Overall, we had a very positive experience during our stay.
Beautiful furnishings and an excellent cooked to order breakfast.
No complaints.
The meals are awesome, as is the staff. Too , I just love the vibe and quiet of this hotel. This is second year in a row my son and I go there for mom son time. We snow shoe and walk around and enjoy their meals. It is just lovely!
The atmosphere is exceptional, just to relax.
Super dog friendly
Some little thinks needs to be repaired but this did not bother me
I love that the hotel was so quaint and historic. The breakfast was amazing and they did not mind substituting the meats with other proteins - delicious!
had to carry a big suitcase up the stairs since there are no elevators. some days do not serve dinner so we thankfully ate leftovers from that day from our restaurant since we did not want to go back out and there was not much open in the little town.
Free Breakfast that is served to You, who would complain about that...?????
Nothing to not like...
Comfortable hotel,good location
Contactless arrival and departure, Restaurant shut first night, and staff unhelpful with other dinner bookings.Nice help yourself breakfast spread-
Very impressive dining experience both breakfast and wonderful dinner service and setup
The location. They were just getting the grounds tidy up and doing a good job.
The breakfast was excellent.
Room did had two luggage racks which was a plus
Checked in at 3:30 no one at the desk just an envelope with your name on it. We found the room went back to get the Wi-Fi code. No one around. Next day there was a bell to ring and they did respond to that. The room had a stuffed chair and a bench, no chairs.
clean, quiet, safe, great breakfast
nothing.
Great breakfast, big room, friendly staff.
The McCloud Hotel is a 10/10 in my book. The front desk reception has a number you can text with any questions. Even before our trip, I had my questions answered about road conditions and whether we’d be able to reschedule if my sick dog couldn’t be boarded. All the answers came quickly and graciously.
The hotel itself is gorgeous, historic and is full of charm. I particularly love the antique, but comfortable furniture that makes sitting with a good book and a cup of tea the perfect afternoon.
We stayed in room 228, which has a king-sized bed and a daybed with pull-out trundle. We chose it because it has a nice table for two, where we got to enjoy some reading time. Bonus points for the shower: the water temperature gets nicely hot and the water pressure is pleasantly strong.
Sage, the onsite restaurant, is a must-try. The food is delicious, comes in good portions and is very fairly priced. I particularly loved the mushroom polenta. I highly recommend making your dinner reservations as soon as you book your stay here. It’s a very popular restaurant.
We were fortunate enough to stay here when they offered a special afternoon tea. Sandwiches, scones and pastries. Yum!
Nothing
everything !
nothing , eggs were cold ....
The breakfast was fantastic. Lots to choose from.
all delicious. Great location in the lobby.
We have stayed there on numerous occasions and every time it has been great.
This was such a peaceful and beautiful hotel!
The staff was amazing! The breakfast was absolutely perfect!
Could use some AC.
The breakfast was really nice. They go above and beyond to put out a nice spread. Way better than what a Best Western would offer.
The bed was a little uncomfortable. A little too soft for us and I would have preferred little carpets on each side of the bed.
