It felt like we were visiting friends in their gorgeous beach front property.
Pros:

You can’t beat the location, right across from the beach, a ten minute walk to Asbury Park. AC, continental breakfast, treats, charming decor. The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. They make you feel like family.

Cons:

As is common is old homes, the floor in our room had a significant slant which had the head of our beds lower than our feet. Easy fix with bolsters under the two bedframe legs.

I did wish I had a terrace. However I did book late. I enjoyed the 2nd floor porch.

Pros:

Pleasant historic hotel situated right on the beach. The room was quite small but comfortable.

Cons:

She shower was rather difficult to operate --not much control o=ver the heat of the water and difficult to turn off.

Pros:

The Laingdon was perfect in every way for us! Right across from the beach with chairs and umbrellas for our use. Only a 5 minute walk to Asbury boardwalk and Ocean Grove Main Street. The staff is wonderful, the place is immaculate and the continental breakfast was great… muffins, yogurt and cereal with fresh brewed coffee! We loved this place and look forward to coming back soon.

Cons:

The pillows were not as fluffy as mine from home

For a beachfront property it can’t be beat.
Pros:

Very friendly proprietors. Fantastic on the ocean front. Ocean Grove is the town. There is no alcohol served so it’s very peaceful

Cons:

Narrow staircase. But to be expected in an older Victorian hotel

Stayed for a weekend, felt like a weeklong bliss
Pros:

Fantastic family that owns and runs this inn, 3 generations by my count. All so friendly and welcoming. This was our first visit here, and won’t be our last. Was told by friends about this hotel. Many people that stay are repeater’s year after year. Right on the shore, absolutely beautiful town and historic hotel. Rooms were so well maintained and decorated with the history and time period of the town of Ocean Grove. The lobby is decorated as if you are walking into a beautiful victorian sitting room. Overall, I’ve never had a better stay anywhere.

Cons:

There are no negatives to this hotel.
