Copper King Lodge

the location was perfect. right on the creek with comfortable sitting to enjoy the view, creek and wildlife. easy walking distance to town area and shops and food.

We absolutely loved our stay! Porch off the kitchen was perfect for having our morning coffee. Also, the little fire pit is perfect for chilly nights around the campfire. Everything we needed was provided and we loved our time there watching the hummingbirds and listening to the river.

The location is perfect for walking to anything in town. It is also right next to the river. The room was dated, but in a “mountain lodge” way. It was clean and the office person was very friendly and helpful. We were in the hotel part, so there was no kitchenette, but we knew that going in and had planned around this. If we return to Red River, we would definitely book again.

to start, it was a beautiful location being in Red River NM. The staff were very courteous and outrageously accommodating. They worked with me beautifully on getting back something I had left there. Debbie, Jill and the staff were amazing and I would surely recommend this lodge.

This is an excellent, locally owned facility. Our room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Red River is an excellent vacation spot for families and adults. Our kids are grown and we came back as a couple. This is a great place to relax and enjoy life.

Location was excellent, customer service was amazing, the deer that comes up to the lodge was great! Loved having a hot tub to relax in after skiing all day!

We have stayed at Copper King Lodge twice now and had a great experience both times. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly fly and helpful. It has cozy amenities that are all our family needs, and everything is close easy access in town. But the best part is one of the chairs is literally at the doorsteps and the easiest ski in/ski out experience I have ever had. I love that option to be able to not waste time at the start or end of the day, and also so we can go to the room easily mid day if needed.

A nice family-run motel with lots of details you don’t find in chains. We loved the efficiency room with western decor and knotty pine walls and ceiling. The room is a bit dated but impeccably clean and very comfortable and cozy. The Manager, Debbie, is super terrific and always helpful and happy — so very refreshing to be treated as guests and not dollars. Ideally situated in the middle of town. Yes, yes, yes, choose this place.

Location

This is an amazing place with accommodations to fit everyone's needs. Right on the river, the sounds are wonderful. The ski area is in the process of replacing one of the lifts and the new one will be literally in the parking lot. So convenient! All of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. Our room furnishings were well thought out and both housekeeping and maintenance was immaculate!!

Great accomodations. Room was very clean. Comfortable beds. Towels are the best we have used in a hotel. Large refrigerator/freezer. Quiet area. Close to main street with many shops. Adjacent to the river.
Located in quaint Red River, a great little town to visit.
We would definitely consider staying here when visiting Red River.

Texas Red is a steakhouse worth visiting a few times. The Filet Mignon is pricey at $33 [as of 3/2024] but very well prepared and tasty. The cheesecake portion was big enough to be shared by two. The Copper King Lodge is located near the Red River. They have propane and charcoal grills and a hot tub. The main in was an easy drive from Taos.
