Ayant loué plus d'une vingtaine de chambres à Old Orchard, celle-ci est de loin ma préférée pour un séjour d'une semaine en couple.
Très bien situé. À côté de la plage (wow!), et à quelques minutes à pied du pier, mais suffisamment loin pour ne pas être dérangé par l'action.
Parking et terrain (bbq/tables/corde à linge, etc) très pratique.
Accès au spa et piscine

Kitchenette pratique pour les déjeuners et repas rapides

Équipements silencieux (J'ai parfois eu des chambres avec des frigo/ventilateur/hotte de cuisine/circulation de l'eau/voisins/etc. assez bruyant. Au Gull, il n'y a rien de tout ça)
De petits détails, mais rien qui ne gâche les vacances :
Le frigo n'a pas de congélateur fonctionnel.
La chambre reste lumineuse de nuit. Il manquerait un rideau opaque pour la porte du balcon.
La kitchenette comporte le minimum d'articles de cuisine. J'aurais aimé avoir une planche à découper, un couteau de préparation, une râpe à fromage, un porte serviette...
Pour ceux qui viennent à Old Orchard pour la première fois : il y a un train qui circule jour et nuit. Peu importe où vous louez, il faut donc s’attendre à entendre le train.
J’ai déjà eu des locations directement collées à la voie ferrée, au point où le bâtiment tremblait à chaque passage.
Le Gull n'est pas le bâtiment le plus éloigné du chemin de fer, mais à cet emplacement, le bruit reste tout à fait vivable.

The location was in easy walking distance to the beach and eateries.
The “hot” water was tepid even after letting it run . Expect a cool shower. The beverage bar in a dark corner lacked a working light to see with. The Keurig kept flashing it needed to be descaled. The bed slats were so noisy !!
There was no breakfast there was no supplies to make coffee or tea. Another person that was staying in that motel provided the coffee, tea and creamer. No staff to provide these items. Beach location was good.
Didn’t like the mattress on the bed you need to replace it and put a new one it sunk in laying on it very uncomfortable didn’t like the sink in the room should’ve been in the bathroom and it was hard to Unlock and lock doors was kind of hard at times had to pull the door to lock and unlock it should be updated. Also, the windows were missing curtains they only had blinds should have update furniture chairs were sunk in when you sat in them no table to put things on or to eat on.
We absolutely loved the location! It was literally just a few steps from the beach and the sand. The property was about a 15-minute walk from the Pier, which was very convenient. We also really appreciated that our room was separate from the main lobby, so there weren’t lots of people around and it felt much quieter and more private. Having free parking included in the building’s parking lot was also a great bonus. We had a great stay!
We didn’t like that there was no refrigerator in the room. It would have been very convenient to have one.
