Nice location. Ok food. Bring your own water.
Pros:

Food was average but Ok. View from the room was good. But so many cobwebs were found on the patio ceiling and walls. Needs maintenance in many areas.

Cons:

Supply of drinking water is an issue. They give you just 750 Ml of water for 2 persons for your whole stay. That's like a Pint of water as welcome drink.Rest of the days you need to depend on GOOD water from tap, as per them. When asked whether there is any difference between the 750 Ml welcome water and the tap water, their answer is that Tap water is GOOD and Bottled water is BETTER!! It's place of many lakes. We were lucky that they didn't direct us to one of those.

Pros:

Champagne Castle Hotel staff has went out of their way to give my husband and I a romantic getaway. Our room was decorated so beautiful and we were pleasantly surprised by our dinner table table being decorated. We definitely felt special. The food was absolutely divine.

Perfect for exploring the northern Drakensburg, We ha a very relaxing stay.
Pros:

Perfect buffet Breahfast, lunch, afternoon tea was a treat evening meal was varied and very good quality.The veiws from the Hotel and our room were stunning. Lovely hiking trails direct access from the hotel , Swimming pool was very refreshing and a number of sports available on site. Perfect.

Cons:

No fridge in our room, but ice cold water was left in the room every day.

Magical and restful escape.
Pros:

The hotel was in a very quiet and peaceful area with a luxurious feel to it. The staff were efficient and friendly, food was fantastic and accommodation spacious. Everything was spotless and to me exuded the stamp of top class management. The manager, Marc, was the most courteous of hosts who went out of his way to accommodate whatever we required. Thanks Marc for lending me your own personal golf clubs.

Pros:

Wir kamen auf Empfehlung ins Hotel und konnten die Begeisterung nicht teilen. Schon der Empfang war nicht besonders freundlich. Ganz anders, als wir es auf unserer vierwöchigen Reise durch Südafrika kannten. Auf dem Weg zum Zimmer fiel uns schon auf, wie schmutzig der Gang war. Auch auf unserem Balkon war es dreckig.
Das Zimmer war groß, und wir hatten zwei getrennte Betten, wie wir es uns gewünscht hatten. Die Beleuchtung war ungemütlich.
Uns hat es nicht gefallen.

Cons:

Hier scheint man die Sauberkeit nicht in den Griff zu bekommen. Obwohl wir viel Personal gesehen haben.
Die Anlage ist riesengroß und sicher nicht einfach zu pflegen.
Aber zumindest sollten die Wege und Gänge sauber gehalten zu werden. Wenn man aus dem Restaurant kam, musste man erst einmal an viel Taubendreck und Federn vorbei. Wir empfanden es als unappetitlich.

Gorgeous and well worth it!
Pros:

Gorgeous place without a doubt. Felt very luxurious and we were impressed with everything there. Check in went well, and we were very thankful to be able to check in a little bit early as our rooms were ready. All staff were professional, friendly and efficient. The food was INCREDIBLE! Variety at every meal time, and everything was delicious. We were all satisfied with the food. The rooms were spacious, linens and towels good, and the bathroom was also nice and spacious. And of course the views were breath-taking. All the facilities were on point, and the spa treatments were exceptionally good! We really had a lovely time.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the bedrooms smelt strongly of damp/mould. It went away a bit with the doors and windows open, but the smell came back when we had to close up for bedtime. It was extremely unpleasant. We didn't bother to complain as I know if both rooms smelled like that, the others would too. So there would have been no solution to the problem.

Phenomenal location, spectacular views, excellent accomodation and wonderful friendly staff
Pros:

The accomodation was lovely and spacious. The view was spectacular. The facilities were great. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The only thing we did not like was the beds. They were etremely hard and made our stay less enjoyable because we could not sleep properly.
