The staff are fantastic, both in hotel, and the Pub/Restaurant. Best I have dealt with in years. Steak dinner at the restaurant was not bad at all. Very nice location. "Free" bottled water provided was provided as you cannot drink tap water at all.
The room. There were spider webs in almost every corner of the room, up against the ceiling, and even in the bathroom. The water in the shower took long to heat up. The aircon was basically ineffective for the room and made no difference at all. Not sure if it needs a service or is out of gas. I expected a queen bed, and instead got 2x singles. The mattresses on both were the biggest disappointment of the entire stay. I have never stayed in a place where they were that old or bad. It literrally moved under me like a water bed. The blinds were dirty, and doesn't fit properly, so their is a noticable gap between the blind at the door and the blind for the window, so you have little assurance of privacy. Couldnt find the light switch for the outside light, which shone throuygh the same gap, until someone (or a timer) switched it off eventually. As it is outside on the ground floor anyone can just walk up and look into the room, straight at your bed. The coffee station was a disappointment too. They literally provided the cheapest instant "coffee" (RiCoffee - basically just chicory) possible, which for the high out of season rate I paid, I would have expected at least real coffee, or better yet, a Nespresso machine and pods. At 3 other stays on my roadtrip from CT to PE, I paid less for accomodation, and was provided Nespresso in my room. The room appeared old and cheap, and has no character to it. I will not return.
When we arrived they gave us a room with windows that didn’t close properly. When I complained, they moved us to another with the same problem. After complaining again they moved us to a family room which is not the setup we wanted.Later on we got a better room. The experience was stressful. In the morning there was a lot of noise when the staff arrived.
Perfect for an overnight stay. Accommodation as per expectations.
Perfect setting, rooms were beautiful, food was great
Hard uncomfortable pillows and light coming through the glass door at night
View of the river was amazing.
Bed was comfortable
Shower needed bleaching
It’s as farm like
I got so cold in the room I needed to put all my clothes I had on at night. The hotel needs to consider putting a aircon into the room
Was very nice experience..good all around.
Unfortunately weather did not permit us to c everything..heavy rain
The staff are all just stars
Just the early noise from stalls setting up for a market at 7am
Breakfast was excellent. Room was very neat. Staff very friendly and helpful
The facilities like the restaurant closes at 15H00 on Sundays. We were only informed the day we booked in. It would have been helpful if we were informed when we made the booking.
