Pantip Hotel is highly recommended given that it's clean, quiet, safe and reasonably priced.
Pros:

Pantip Hotel is a very clean and tidy residence. The rooms are priced reasonably. The staff were very helpful. Several times I needed advice about Nan, local culture, and how and where to find some of the things that I needed to make my stay in Nan productive. The staff were always willing to help me out via a communication equation of:
verbal + mime + Google Translate = successful communication. They also had free bicycles available for guests. Very handy.

Cons:

There was nothing about Pantip that I didn't like. The Hotel catered to my needs for a week and served as a nice place to relax, feel safe and to learn about some of the local knowledge (that was pertinent to me at the time of my stay.

Amazing place to stay in Nan, tucked in a quiet alley with very clean room and great terrace. They gave us bicycles with which we managed to get around the city and see everything. We loved our stay here

Pros:

It was a pleasant experience to stay here. Very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. 24hours free coffee, snacks near the staircase. Room fairly big. Clean. Cute cats. Friendly staff.

Cons:

The curtains can't prevent intrusion of outside lights in the night and the room was bright throughout the night. A bit difficult to fall asleep. There are quite a few stray dogs in this area. But I guess there is not much this hotel can do about it.
