Three Little Birds Resort

It is not a resort! The place is so different from the pictures! We run away after 15 minutes.
The water in the pool are green, and we couldn’t enter the water. The room is very poor. Although we reserved 4 nights, we did not stay even one!

The biggest problem was the reception staff’s poor communication. Before arriving, we messaged through Booking.com to ask about adding another night, but received no reply. We therefore made a second reservation in a rush and did not notice that it was for a hut without air conditioning.

Around 12 hours later, we politely asked the receptionist in person whether we could cancel and have the fee waived. We first tried to resolve it directly at the property, but received no clear answer. We then submitted the same request through Booking.com, which was again ignored until the reservation date arrived.

The receptionist was extremely unhelpful. She suggested rescheduling, despite our repeatedly explaining that we were flying out the next day, and then told us to speak to the owner, who was not there. We would have preferred an honest answer that the cancellation policy would be strictly applied rather than being ignored and offered solutions that clearly could not work. The whole situation felt evasive, greedy and unprofessional.

Be very careful when choosing your room. The hut with only a fan was unbearably hot. The ceiling fan was loose, ineffective and appeared unsafe. Staff offered another fan, but the airflow lifted the mosquito net above the mattress during the night, making it ineffective.

Our room was also not cleaned. Staff later said they had forgotten to tell us that they did not have a second copy of each room key. We cannot confirm whether this explanation was true, but it felt difficult to believe and should have been communicated in advance.

There were several other problems:

- The pool was dirty, and we never saw the filtration pump running during our three-day stay.
- The restaurant food was poor quality and expensive.
- Loud music from a neighbouring property played every morning around 7:30–8:00 a.m.
- Nearby beaches are not properly accessible because the entrances belong to private resorts.

Como aspecto a tener en cuenta antes de reservar, el alojamiento está en un entorno completamente rural. Es normal que haya geckos y, en nuestro caso, entraban con frecuencia en la cabaña, dejando excrementos. Es cierto que cada vez que avisábamos al personal acudían enseguida a limpiarlo, algo que agradecemos mucho. Sin embargo, tener que encontrarte las cacas varias veces al día, e incluso llegar a pisarlas alguna vez, acabó resultando un poco incómodo.

Si no te importa convivir con este tipo de fauna, probablemente disfrutarás del lugar, pero creemos que es algo que conviene saber antes de reservar.

Está un poquito retirado de lo que es el pueblo y el restaurante quizás es un poco caro.

Nothing.

I know it’s maybe impossible to avoid but it was a bit annoying having to wear shoes inside and remove gecko poop constantly so you don’t step on it or lay on it. I like geckos and it’s part of life in these parts, but I never experienced so many poops before. Not sure how to fix that.

The road down is long and unfortunately no tricycle went past or stopped for us, after 30mins in the sun we decided to drag our luggage the full length. I was exhausted. But also maybe just a bit of bad luck. If they had an electric pedicab or something similar to pickup I would’ve happily paid extra.

We were very uncomfortable from the start of our trip due to the presence of a European man with two very young Philippina girls at the hotel. We raised the issue with the management, however she didn’t seem very preoccupied about it.

Service - although there were some nice staff at the hotel, we found the manager/owner of the hotel very dismissive, in particular talking to her own staff inappropriately. Additionally, at the end of our stay she tried to scam us with a made up added fee, this mathematical dishonesty to their own guests was disappointing.

Noise - woken up very early by animal noises and construction every day.

Electricity - for one full day there was no electricity, guaranteed this was the case for the rest of anda, however, it’s something to be aware of.

La nourriture du restaurant est bonne mais les portions sont assez petites au regard du prix. C'est dommage car cela pousse à aller chercher des restaurants dans les ressorts voisins.

The unknown droppings from the hut,the floor was gritty to step on,the intermittent black outs,the lights were soooo dim lit I could not even see my face clearly in the mirror even with glasses on.

De airco in de kamer koelde niet super goed.

Access to the beach is not that convenient and may be hard if you travel with seniors.
