Great place to stay- but have breakfast away

The location and the general level are great. The food in the restaurant and bar are both great.

A lovely place to stay and get a good night's sleep but breakfast a real let down.
Pros:

The location is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We slept well.

Cons:

The breakfast is really not up to much- very poor. The cheapest low quality bread, poor quality ingredients generally and really mean portions. The continental style choices are really restricted and unimaginative. A real surprise given that the restaurant at this hotel in the evenings and its bar food are very good indeed.

Comfortable room on the seafront from with prime location and nice breakfast
Pros:

The hotel is in a fantastic location on the seafront and also 50 yards or so from the high street. The room was a lovely sea view room as described. It was nice to have a fish breakfast as an option as well as the full English

Cons:

We went in winter and the quilt was a little thin. On request, the staff provided an additional one although it was smaller than our bed

The fish breakfast came with only eggs, which was sparse compared to the many ingredients of the full English. On the second day, my wife’s full English came inexplicably without sausage, beans or tomato, all of which were provided by default the previous day

Good one night stay, room awkward to use but good value.
Pros:

Not as good as it was. No yoghurt, fruit salad, smoked salmon, but excellent service at 7.30 on a Saturday morning.

Disappointing and breakfast cooked poorly
Pros:

The breakfast was not hot and poached eggs were not cooked.Bacon too thick and not cooked.
Waitress was rude. Left my breakfast and ate toast that came later than my breakfast

Cons:

Room 16 had a humming from a generator or something that went on til 5am.
Bed rock hard so no sleep whatsoever ever which is a shame as stayed a year ago in bedroom at the front and that was comfortable

Perfect break. I like Dunkerleys as indeed I like Deal.
Pros:

Breakfast was extremely well cooked. Evening meal was up to scratch. Moreover, staff were king and attentive. Next time I will secure a sea facing room perhaps with fewer stairs to climb.

We would not stay at this hotel again.
Pros:

Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had an evening meal in the restaurant and it was good.

Cons:

The shower didn't work properly. The water kept alternating between hot and cold whilst in the shower.
The bedside cabinet had been "repaired" at some stage but a sharp edge overhang had been left which was at eye level when laying in bed.
Both the above issues were reported to hotel staff so we hope that they have now been addressed.
There are double yellow lines outside the hotel so it was a nightmare transporting our luggage from the car to the hotel.
We were told that the parking wardens are very strict with regard to parking regulations.

Pros:

The breakfast was good. The location was exellent, with the room having a sea view.

Cons:

Shower in the room was unusable. The water went from scalding hot to freezing cold within seconds no matter how it was set. That meant for the four day stay we could not use the shower.
