The room was comfortable but tired. Wi-Fi was not reliable. It just felt like the hotel was living off past glories.
The room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was really good and the staff were brilliant and helpful.
Lovely food, the kitchen staff were extremely helpful, as were all the staff - very friendly and went out of their way to help.
Location. On steps away from the pier. Parking directly across the road. Terrace of seating at the front overlooking the sea.
Unfortunately our room looked over an untidy side section which certainly would have been unfortunate if we were staying longer. If you have rooms with windows looking in your backyard; keep it clean & tidy!
Just what I required for a night in Deal
The staff were very helpful

Perfectly located for us

Excellent breakfast and location. Good value for money
Nothing major
Central and up to date
Staff were excellent as always
Cleaning standards have slipped
A perfect position overlooking the sea, a traditional hotel, that did not try to be modern, with staff that respected that traditional choice.
The resturant food was good, as expected EXCEPT , the Mussels main dish, which both of us like, was not good at all, the mussels were not fresh but from a pre cooked pack, dry and tasteless, the reason we stayed at Dunckleys, was for there lovely sea food in there resturant, which we have done many times in the past, but we will not be going there again because we were served packet mussels that were not good at all , rather than lovely fresh tasty mussels that we were expecting, and paid for.
Staff were nice. Room was tired looking especially the bathroom. Idea area to stay. Parking is a 3 hr maximum stay, so we had to keep topping it up.
The food, i was really looking forward to eating in the restaurant, but felt let down because it didn't have a lot of taste in the seafood platter.Again the staff were very attentive. I didn't find the hotel or food expense, but just needs a touch up to improve.
La gentillesse du personnel, le restaurant (bien que cher) et l’emplacement de l’hôtel
Chambre et salle de bain vétustes, literie inconfortable, aucune insonorisation
