Perfectly located and great staff. Good breakfast.
The room could do with a facelift. Stuck in a time warp.
The hotel and our room was facing the sea front. Spacious room, bathroom well fitted, shower to die for, and the breakfast was wonderful. The restaurant had a seafood menu but did have some meat dishes. My husband said it was the best seafood dish he has ever had so top marks to the chef and the young staff were attentive and friendly and very knowledgeable at dinner.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Excellent breakfast cooked to order, helpful staff. Bedroom air con was unexpected bonus.
The room was small ,very tight between bed and bathroom door.

Breakfast was very good, location was perfect right on the sea front, room was superb with sea views (received a free upgrade, thank you very much), bar was good.

Very small bathroom/bedroom, awful view. Breakfast waitress a bit rude.
The quality of the breakfast ingredients was better than on previous visits- we were having breakfast on a Saturday though which is unusual- so we hope it is a change that is going to apply 7 days a week.
The room door doesn't fit brilliantly and the light from the landing shone through, especially at the bottom of the bed. As the bed faces that door it was hard to sleep and we had to use our luggage to black the light. If the hotel provided a door stop cusion, that would really help
Location
Dark (brown) room at the back of the hotel; didn't realise I'd booked a budget one. Could only access it via the restaurant and narrow staircase. Tiny bathroom in need of modernisation.

Sink too near to opening door to bathroom. Socket not near enough for kettle cable, too near edge of table
Husband and I have been to Dunkerleys several times and have great fondness for times we have stayed there. Always in a sea view room to watch the sun come up. Great choice of champagnes at reasonable prices. Essentially a female led team who cannot be faulted. The best dover sole in the south east! Only 4 stars because sadly we not be returning as I cannot manage the stairs which very steep. Hey Mr Dunkerley, how about a stair lift?
Perfect locstion, right on the beach front with easy access to lots of places to eat and drink. Staff were all lovely and friendly and very helpful. The breakfast, included with the room, was excellent!

Room was infested with flies
Wir hatten ein schönes Zweibettzimmer in der ersten Etage. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, Sehr empfehlenswert sind Fischgerichte zum Dinner. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ein perfekter Aufenthalt.
