Pros:

This hotel really is right at the top of the hills with amazing views including of Nine Arch Bridge.
Pros:

Breakfast was great, not too large of a portion, just right and cooked to order. We also had dinner at the hotel, the chicken burgers were also good.

Cons:

Not being able to stay at the hotel another day or more!

We had a really lovely stay at Tip Top hotel. The view from the hotel overlooking the Nine Arches Bridge is absolutely stunning and truly special.
The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very large and beautiful, with a bathtub, which was especially nice after a day of exploring.
The staff were kind, welcoming, and very helpful. They recommended a lovely walk from the hotel down to the Nine Arches Bridge, which we really enjoyed. It was also easy to get a tuk-tuk into Ella town and to nearby restaurants.
Overall, a great stay with amazing views, good comfort, and friendly staff. We would definitely recommend Tip Top.

Excellent Views of Ella Mountains and the Nine Arch Bridge
Pros:

While the location is about 3 kms from the main area, it has fabulous views - of the nine arch bridge, train tracks and the mountains and valley's. Its about a 10 room place and the room overlooks the valley and mountains. For breakfast we were given a nice fruit platter and juice and a choice of western or Sri Lankan main courses. Quite sumptuous. The staff for very attentive to everything

The hotel has an excellent and huge deck with an infinity swimming pool and lots of places to sit and just relax in a very comfortable atmosphere.

Cons:

Access to the hotel is by a single lane (motorable) road and towards the end there is a steep uphill climb.

Highly recommend, less then 5 minutes from Ella. We walk into town on the train line a must do
Pros:

Breakfast was great I had pancakes both mornings and ask if I could have ice cream and they were more then happy to accommodate my request
You could see the nine arches bridge and was able to walk down to the track itself

Hotel in schöner Lage mit tollem Ausblick

Uns hat das ganze Ambiente, die Aussicht auf die Brücke und das Tal haben wir sehr genossen. Uns hat das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen sehr geschmeckt. Auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis war in Ordnung. Das gesamte Personal war freundlich kompetent und aufmerksam. Im Bad war alles vorhanden was man brauchte ( Zahnbürsten, Seife, Schampo, und Duschgel und Föhn) außerdem war ein Wasserkocher, Tee und Wasser auf dem Zimmer.
Im Hotel war es überall sauber und gepflegt. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt.

Pros:

The staff at this hotel is incredibly. So attentive, caring and nice. The best service we had during our entire trip in Sri Lanka (three weeks). When we arrived they offered us tea while we had a relaxing check-in. The location is a bit off from Ella City, but the food is really good with great affordable prices so that didn’t matter for us. They can also drive you to Ella City by their own TukTuks at a very reasonable price. The breakfast was also great with many selections (and you can choose whatever you want). We had a great view from the hotel room and you can see both the Nine Arch Bridge and the train drive by. We will definitely come back to this hotel if we ever visit Ella again.

Cons:

There was some power cuts through out our stay but that seems to be very common when the weather isn’t great. It was very windy and rainy two out of three days when we were at Ella.
