Beautiful tranquil oasis in the heart of bustling Lamu, with wonderful staff. Felt right at home :)
Pros:

All of the staff are so friendly and made us feel right at home! The location is perfect and the balconys are lovely with amazing views. The pool is like a little oasis. We would love to come back, thank you Jannat House for our perfect stay :)

A very nice stay in a building with great swahili taste, close to the beachfront
Pros:

The pool is refreshing, the staff very nice and attentive, and the room we had, with a beautiful and big terrace / balcony was fantastic. Breakfast was also good, and Caroline was of great support always.

Pros:

Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Fan in room is very strong and swimming pool a great relief in the heat.

Cons:

My door bolt from the inside kept on fall out. It would be easy to replace. The hotel is a little unloved. There was work going on when I was there. Room had no shampoo just soap so ended up washing my hair in soap. Outside could be a bit more welcoming.

La propiedad sólo como construcción es linda y los chicos de la cocina son muy serviciales y atentos

Precio calidad, es caro para no tener agua caliente, las habitaciones no tienen candado de seguridad (lleva el tuyo), queda muy lejos de la playa (3km), es difícil de llegar, la habitación individual el muy chica…

Pros:

The staff working at Jannat House are all very pleasant and attentive. Caroline was especially welcoming. The location in Lamu old town was great but only 5 minutes walk to the sea. The hotel is comprised of old buildings and has a lot of character. Breakfast was good and diner ordered in advance was well prepared and tasty. I found it great value for money and would have loved to stay longer if I could.

Pros:

The pool was great and clean. The staff refilled it every day. The staff was also incredible: helpful with everything we needed and we had a lot of requests because of a few injured and sick members of our party. The breakfast and the location were also great.

Cons:

The property was a lot more dilapidated than we could have imagined. Paint peeling off the walls and falling onto beds and luggage; chipped walls; windows that didn’t close and that didn’t block out any of the dust blowing in with the strong winds or the sounds from the neighborhood; old bathrooms with no shower curtains; old lumpy pillows; really dusty. The hotel needs a huge upgrade.

Hele vriendelijk en vrolijk personeel. Mooie terrassen om heerlijk te genieten van een lekker briesje. Lekker ontbijt.
