Comfortable and great value
Pros:

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The rooms are very comfortable if a trifle old fashioned.
Breakfasts are excellent value, with a good choice including a sausage for the dog!
Although there is not a restaurant in the evening, there are bar snacks (burgers, chilli, fish and chips etc) which are great value and excellent. The chips were some of the best we have had in a long time, this was echoed by 2 French guests!

Cons:

Parking can be a bit tricky.

Lage mit Blick aufs Meer und freundliches Personal und grundsätzlich sauber.

Cons:

Ausstattung alt, mit sehr viel Patina. Leider riecht die Lüftung im Bad extrem nach alter Küchenabluft.

No tv signal , ancient hairdryer didn’t work , WiFi poor , shower pressure very poor, having to hand your key in every time u left the hotel was disappointing , the hotel need a total upgrade

We enjoy the vibe at the Lancaster. We really love it.
Pros:

We like that the Lancaster is pet friendly. We paid a little more to get a water-front room - beautiful views!

Won’t remember fondly
Pros:

I really enjoyed the fact there was a bath

Cons:

The smell. It smelt of old cigarettes. My tv didn’t work. The bath took about an hour to run as it was a tiny dribble of water coming from the tap. The decor was from the 70s. Staff weren’t very friendly

Ausstattung aus der Mitte des letzten Jahrhunderts. Müll des Vormieters im Zimmer. Muffiger Geruch im Raum. Mietpreis viel zu hoch - sowas wäre in Deutschland gar nicht mehr vermietbar. Nicht einmal für einen Bruchteil des aufgerufenen Preises.

Very basic but overall it was pleasant.
Pros:

GREAT PRICE AND SERVICE FROM THIS HOTEL. STAFF VERY HELPFUL AND MADE YOU FEEL WELCOME. HANNAH LOOK AFTER ME AT BAR TELL HER THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THEY DO BAR MEAL GREAT PRICES AND FOOD LOVELY. ROOM WAS SPOTLESS AND CLEAN AND THE BED. PAID FOR BREAKFAST £10.00 WHICH WAS WORTH IT GET CEREAL ETC PLUS A FULL BREAKFAST. WOULD BOOK AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

An old fashioned hotel with wonderful staff
Pros:

The staff are exceptionally friendly. The beds were comfy. The breakfast delicious. The views and proximity to beach very nice.

Cons:

Whatever i didn't like at the beginning of my stay, i came to love by the end. The place is quirky . Don't come if you love mod cons

Clean, tidy, functional, with good food and bar let down but outdatedness. In sore need of a refurb.
Pros:

Very clean, and nothing broken, malfunctioning. Everything as expected, hot shower, clean bed, sheets, complimentary tea/coffee and soaps. Room was quiet. The bar was, within the context of the hotel, quite lively and traditional, with charming live music. Breakfast was top notch, with a nice sea view. Staff moderately friendly.

Cons:

Somewhat dated, quite dark and disjointed re: decor spanned different decades. I've not seen 'formica' used for years! The TV was a 'monitor' sized screen which was only just bigger than my phone. However, to reiterate, everything was clean, tidy, functional. As a side note I was slightly apprehensive about what would happen in an emergency as the corridors were very contorted. It was however, perfectly signed for emergency exit.
