Brrakfast was good, the bed comfortable and the shower strong. What more could you want?!
The hotel was a "home from home" while moving house. The hotel was a real haven from all the mess of moving house, and I asked for a bath in both our rooms and got it, and that was bliss.
The food at dinner was ok but not great. It might be better in the summer months when they have more guests eating in, and when upgrading the running of the kitchen is more cost effective. The pub down the road is very busy so the costumers are there, its just a matter of capturing the market.
Traditional
Building but with modern features.
Nothing
Beautifully decorated and let rooms, bathroom was well kept and clean
Nothing
Location and nice welcome when we arrived
Room was freezing and damp - restaurant lacked atmosphere- no music - staff no where to be seen and waited ages to be served dinner and breakfast th next day (ate out on second night)
Very comfortable room and the staff were lovely
There could have been more variety on the dinner menu but we understood why as the restaurant is very small so it wouldn’t be viable to do much more - what we did eat was very nice
A lovely hotel, the cosy room was ample for us and very comfortable. Food was great and we were taken care of throughout our stay. Excellent value
Location, Room, Facilities, Staff (excellent), Parking
Stairs to room on top floor, Hanging facility for female dresses.
The staff were all lovely and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing, a wide range of choices and lovely food. We ate in the restaurant one evening which was also lovely. Really nice atmosphere and a good location to explore the new forest
WiFi not the strongest in the bedroom upstairs but not a major issue as could use data- WiFi downstairs in lounge and bar area was good.
It all went very well thank you. And we liked the hotel and the area.
The only thing was at breakfast. I ordered a yoghurt and cooked breakfast, but the yoghurt was not brought until the cooked breakfast was brought. Also we weren't aware before arrival that we were on the 2nd floor with no lift. As we are over 70, we would have appreciated that information, and possibly the chance to have a room on the 1st floor
Lovely staff & beautiful grounds. My little boy & I had a lovely time.
The wifi in the bedroom didn’t work consistently. A breakfast buffet style would have probably worked more efficiently than full waitress service, although the service & food was good.
I liked the staff excellent
Would have liked more quantity in the portions of food in restaurant…
Style, service and location
Tiny feedback! Hose on the outside tap to help wash dogs off after walk. Staff great thu helped with container to put water in.
Very nice and in keeping with traditional British decor.
Beautiful food served in the restaurant.
Tim the owner and the entirety of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Such a nice traditional place to stay. Loved it.
Nothing
the room was really cold and the heating didn't appear sufficient for the room.
