Good local pub, with rooms. Would benefit from some updating.
Pros:

Location , staff team and it was dog friendly

Breakfast was good -delicious scrambled eggs and good coffee

Lots of parking

Cons:

It’s a local pub and would benefit from a bit of updating.
Room was a good size, big slipper bath was great.

Generally needed a bit of re decoration.

Mattress could do with being replaced

A bit ‘ interesting ‘ needing to access bedroom via fire escape once the pub closed .
( it was closed by 10-30pm on the night we stayed )

A hidden gem.
Pros:

Excellent in every way. Room was clean and spacious with everything needed.
Food was beautiful, and the full breakfast was huge. Also with all the usual stuff. Most of the food is locally sourced and homemade where possible.
Service in the evening was very good and the staff all excellent.

Cons:

Nothing.

My favourite hotel up north
Pros:

I love this property as it truly unique. The location is lovely and has great outdoor facilities. The hotel seems to specialise in sea food, and the quality of the food is awesome and reasonable.

The staff are amazing and I love the complimentary port in the room

I stayed during the “heatwave” with my wife and 2 small dogs and we all had a great stay

An excellent inn and staff.
Pros:

The friendly and welcoming staff who showed us to our room and offered to take our The bedroom was spacious enough and the bathroom was very large and well appointed with walk-in shower and roll-top bath. The little decanter of port was an unexpected luxury! The restaurant was excellent with a large selection on the menu, very well cooked and served quickly. The inn was very dog friendly which is important to us. Parking was very easy.

Cons:

The only thing was the steep staircase. Given the age of the building we were expecting this but the door at the bottom of the stairs with no landing made this a bit of a challenge for us personally given we have mobility issues but we managed.

Staff and food fantastic, room clean and comfortable.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. Freshly squeezed orange juice, local produce, large portions and great selection of choices. Restaurant for evening meal was fantastic though would be more inclined to return for a special occasion.
Room was comfortable and clean, large ensuite.

Cons:

TV not in a great position even on the adjustable bracket next to bedside table. Bed was comfortable but base holding mattress was larger and easy to hit your shins. Room was also bit noisy during the night due to fan/ motors running in kitchen below.

Memorable for the wrong reasons
Pros:

Pleasant enough

Cons:

Lack of communication between staff ending with a threatening demand as some manager forgot to tell the staff/booking.com I had paid directly by phone. Fuming

Fantastic pub with a lovely room, perfect for a weekend away
Pros:

Beautiful pub with great rooms upstairs. We were in the area for a wedding and they kindly let us check in slightly early to be able to drop our things off before the reception. Everything was spotless, the bed was comfy and the breakfast in the morning was delicious.

Cons:

The room was quite hot (though it was 30 degrees outside so not too surprising!)
