Fantastic food & lovely staff
Pros:

The food was amazing - so refreshing to stay somewhere with such good food when away with work; rather than the usual corporate hotels. Both dinner and breakfast was exceptional.

Definitely recommend if you want good old fashioned value for money
Pros:

Absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Staff were amazing and the food delicious. The wood fire was very much appreciated as snow had been predicted.

The staff, the restaurant

Cons:

Misguided “kindness “ in upgrading us when we had chosen a specific room.
Very understanding and did redeem their mistake handsomely. Very noisy guests returning to their room at 2.40 a.m. who woke up both the occupants of the other rooms. We moaned to each other at breakfast!

An absolute gem!
Pros:

Facilities were great. Food was amazing. People just lovely. Location was a bit off the beaten track but just what I wanted. Very good location to get around this part of Yorkshire.

Cons:

All was good. Would have liked a full length mirror in my room but that's minor.

Best decision you can make is to stay here!
Pros:

Everything. This is our 3rd time at the tickled trout, we just keep coming back.
The staff are amazing, the food is to die for and it gets better each time.
They love dogs and that is also a big tickled for us as our boy dodgie is 91/2 and we dont like to leave him too much.

Cons:

The fact we only stayed one night!
