It was disgusting. The room was filthy. There was mould on the curtains, broken floor titles in the bathroom, marks all over the walls, lamps were dirty and flickered if you so much as touched them, no toilet rolls, no toilet seat cover, uncomfortable bed. I'm just grateful I'd only booked it for one night and I took photos as evidence otherwise no one would have believed just how disgusting it was.

I rarely write reviews like this, but the condition of the room was honestly unacceptable.

From the moment we walked in, the lack of cleanliness was obvious. The bathroom had clearly not been properly cleaned — there were makeup stains on the walls and hair left in the shower. The walls in the room itself were marked and stained to the point it looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in a very long time.

There were cobwebs in multiple areas, dust and dirt along the skirting boards, and an overall unpleasant smell that made the whole stay uncomfortable. This wasn’t a case of the room being a bit dated — that would have been absolutely fine. The issue was basic hygiene, which should never be compromised.

In this day and age, a clean room is the absolute minimum expectation, and sadly this fell well below that standard.

Needs improvement to charge £150 a night
Pros:

Location was great, staff were lovely . The price for one night £150 was absolutely extortionate for the room. The stairs and the door ways leading up to the room were dirty and grubby and not very welcoming. The bed was comfy and bathroom clean but bedding was stained and the room just looked grubby and run down. I’ve stayed in much nicer rooms for a quarter of that price.
