Pros:

Lovely view. Central location.

Cons:

Seemed quite expensive for what it was. Little things like no shower products, slightly musty bathroom smell and no variety of tea options.

Nice place, good enough as a base
Pros:

A typical boutique hotel, good quality but simple offering. Very comfortable and well located, close to the river and the centre, but no dodgy smells from the river.

Cons:

The bar downstairs wasn't very good, quite empty and you got the feeling there was no real interest in the customers. No food

Price at £150 for one night not recommended.
Pros:

Collecting key staff were helpful and pleasant. Close to city centre. Was clean but some decor improvements needed on communal entrance and stairway. First impressions count!

Cons:

Bed uncomfortable. Electric Shower was not fit for purpose. Low water pressure. Freezing cold or scalding hot options. Unusable!
No soap in shower dispenser. Hairdryer not working. Tv signal poor.

I loved my stay in York and when I return I will absolutely choose Lil's for accommodation.
Pros:

Wonderful location, right next to the river and 2 minutes from the town, the theatre and the historic sights. Great food and drink in the bars and bistros literally below my beautifully presented guestroom. Lovely friendly staff. This was like a home from home. Highly recommend.

Cons:

Nothing, it was perfect for me.

There was no stay. Money back please.

Nothing. I walked out.

Cons:

Stairs impossibly steep for a person of my age. Place dingy and dirty. Room also dingy and dirty. Bed only a few inches off the ground. Too low for someone of my age. Staff utterly unhelpful. I handed back they key and left. I did not stay the night.
