Absolutely Nothing - Ruined our Holiday !!!
Absolutely terrible Hotel - needs updating badly. Exceptionally rude staff upon arrival! Really insulting shouting at us when we arrived saying "Oi it's an extra £15.00 for THAT dog" !!! Disgusting behaviour !!!
Close to the City
Needed an update
Spacious and clean
Too warm although we turned radiators off
Great for families and anyone really
Plenty of parking. I paid for breakfast separately but it was good value.
Luckily not applicable this stay but I have previously been allocated rooms with a connecting door and that is not good.
Very unprofessional and rude stuff
I would never book holiday inn ever .
Very good breakfast selection of cereals, fruit, bread, pastries.
Convenient location - near start of former rail trail to Selby, also on bus route into city centre
Condition of some doors and painted surfaces quite poor due to age and damp. Refurbishing needed.
Our room was larger than expected and clean. However, the bathroom is extremely small but again clean.
There was a good choice of food available at breakfast.
The location suited us as we used public transport when going into the centre of York and buses were frequent.
We would have preferred a safe in the room.
Breakfast was nice. New upgraded restaurant is good. I last visited this hotel in July 2024 and there were works taking place in the restaurant.
My room was dusty and caused me to sneeze the whole night. I did not have a good night sleep and I woke up congested. I had to drive back to Scotland after checkout and I was very tired. I got to the hotel around 9pm and after I went to my room, I went straight to bed. My young daughter fell asleep straight away so I wasn’t able to inform anyone about the dusty room as I didn’t want to wake her and move her to another room. I tried opening the windows but it didn’t help much. There was also a musty smell in the room..
Large King-size bed
Nice restaurant/reception area
Handy local buses into city centre
Towels not large enough, not of a good quality
Bathroom for a king size room was bijou
No bathrobe
