Pros:

Mooi zwembad, vriendelijke familie.

Cons:

Ik vond de goedkopere kamers erg duur voor wat je er voor kreeg (we zijn een keer verhuisd). De duurde kamers mooi, er mag een sfeerlampje in van mij verder prima.

Super Lage im Ort Drake für entspannten Urlaub. Pura Vida!
Pros:

Wir haben ein Superior Doppelzimmer gebucht, das Zimmer ist geräumig und bietet alles, was man für einen Kurzbesuch (2 Nächte) braucht. Das Hotel besitzt einen Aussenpool, welcher nach langen Tagen unterwegs eine willkommene Entspannung bietet. Das Restaurant ist gut geführt, das Menü war bei unserem Besuch begrenzt, drei verschiedene Pasta, fünf Pizzas und Ossobuco als Fleischgericht. Die Pasta waren gut, ebenso die Pizza, so dass dies durchaus für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt Restaurant im Ort suchen mussten. Drake Bay ist ein beschauliches, verschlafenes Ort, welches sich gut als Ausgangspunkt für Naturwanderungen eignet. Der Strand im Ort ist nur wenig besucht und eignet sich sehr gut zum Baden. Dass wir am ersten Abend 6 Stunden lang keinen Strom hatten, dafür kann das Hotel ja nichts, man muss für diese Dinge in Costa Rica vorbereitet sein, d.h. alle Akkus stets geladen, Notfallbeleuchtung/Stirnlampen stets zur Hand, genug zum Trinken in Reserve etc. etc.
Es empfiehlt sich einen Parkplatz im Voraus zu reservieren, da diese knapp bemessen sind. (wir hatten eine reserviert) Das Hotel baut z.Z.. neue Parkplätze, so dass sich auch dieser Punkt demnächst von selbst erledigt.

Good location for Drakes too noisy at the moment.
Pros:

One of the better places to stay in Drake Bay. Close to the centre and access to the beach where the trips go from. The road in needs a 4x4 but yhis is part of the adventure of getting to the village. Our room was large, clean and seemed quick newly put together.
Pool was large and lovely if you got there early enough.
Breakfast was per-ordered and ok. I enjoyed the porridge and fruit option. Restaurant Italuan fair was also a nice change.
This hotel is still developing so I think it will be better when building has completed and staff are better trai ed. It has potential.
This hotel is excellent for family's and groups but if you are a couple looking for quiet not the place to come.

Cons:

Parking is available but you have to pay and fight for it. The spots were labelled when prebooked but cars parked there anyway. Hotel needs a few cones. They are building more capacity due to the parking issues so afternoons were noisy due to building work.
Our room was noisy anyway as it overlooked the pool area, so extra banging did not help. The pool often ran out of seating in the afternoons.

Le cadre était magnifique et très typique.
Pros:

Nous avons adorée pouvoir nous baigner à la piscine à l’heure que nous voulions et d’avoir des serviettes à disposition pour la piscine !

Cons:

Une de vos agents d’accueil était moins agréable.
Et on nous a dit que la route était compliqué. Il faut avoir un 4x4 mais les routes sont très bien même parfois goudronnés pour certaines.

Genoten van de activiteiten en erna het zwembad
Pros:

Zwembad is heel fijn als je in de ochtend een activiteit hebt gedaan. Ontbijt kan heel vroeg en is klaar op de tijd die je zelf aangeeft. Vriendelijk personeel bij ontbijt.

Cons:

Als er meer licht zou zijn bij het zwembad zou het een leuke plek zijn om ‘s avonds nog even te zitten. Ook zouden er nog wat hangmatten of dergelijke opgehangen kunnen worden naast het zwembad

Angenehme Atmosphäre, gutes Frühstück u nettes Personal, bis auf Kleinigkeiten im Zimmer tolle Zeit verbracht.

Tolle Lage, sehr hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption. Angenehme Atmosphäre.

Cons:

Am Pool zu wenig Liegen und in unserem Bad war leider der Abfluss beim Waschbecken verstopft. Die Matratzen zu weich.

Pros:

I loved the swimming pool surrounded by plants, where you can enjoy watching all kinds of birds resting among the greenery. There is a clothesline available to hang laundry, clean towels are provided for the pool, and there are comfortable hammocks. At night, the stars look absolutely beautiful.
The room opens onto a terrace with a hammock where you can relax, enjoy a drink, or take a nap. The bathroom has ventilation slats that allow fresh air in while keeping mosquitoes out.The fridge-freezer is also very practical.The restaurant staff are very attentive and friendly, and the reception staff were also welcoming and helpful.

Cons:

The bed would be even better if it were king-size instead of a double. The access road to the hotel is unpaved, with dirt and stones, and fairly steep. We also stayed at another hotel closer to the beach, but this one felt more comfortable overall, and the swimming pool is definitely a great bonus.

Pros:

Great location, we saw monkeys and all sorts of amazing birds right from our room. The staff goes above and beyond, and I even forgot my sunglasses and they save them for me to get the next day from the attached restaurant. Also the attached restaurant is really good and we ate there a few times!

Pros:

Friendly welcome and the receptionist helped us book a tour too. Room was one of the luxury ones and this is worth it. Plenty room and good shower. Pool towels as well as bath towels. Seating area outside room. Comfortable bed. Area with table and chairs in room. Great swimming pool area and sun loungers. Lovely restaurants and a couple of supermarkets within walking distance. Personal touch to have a notice up reserving our parking space on arrival. Choice of breakfast. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

Cons:

Be prepared for the very rough and steep roads in Drake - and the road to the accommodation is no exception. However Drake has a great vibe and it is fab to be part of the real Costa Rica. Just take care walking to and from the restaurants at night. There is no ATM in the area, but they do publicise this. A restaurant is just starting up in the evening, but to start with we weren't told of this and there was no menu - not sure if it is every night or just the weekend. A menu did suddenly appear and it looked quite basic but fine. We didn't take advantage, but I think if they develop this it would be a good addition. Cleaning of our appartment was by request, however it would be better to have bins cleared every day particularly as you can't put paper down the toilet in Costa Rica.

Good option for a stay in Drake Bay with a great pool
Pros:

Conveniently located not too far from the center/beach and multiple restaurants and stores, but up and down a steep hill, so you may want to accept their offer to book a taxi for the short distance if you have luggage. Very clean and quiet with friendly and helpful staff (they booked our return taxi, made sure we had a boat reservation and also helped book activities such as snorkeling and Corcovado park access, thank you Sol). The on site restaurant was good and the breakfast was fine (special thank you to the ladies who work there, even at dawn). They have a very nice and large swimming pool, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day, and provide plenty of pool towels. In their gardens you can see all kinds of birds and monkeys pass through. The room was well appointed but the bed was a bit lumpy. It is not luxurious but very functional and was perfect for our stay in Drake Bay and offered good value for the service.

A fantastic stay in a beautiful place!
Pros:

A great place - we had a lovely room with simple cooking facilities and a balcony looking out over trees. We watched birds lizards and monkeys in the trees. The pool was refreshing. The location was great.
The hotel restaurant was also fantastic - Italian food cooked with flair by the chef from Turin!
