Ruhige Lage, Top Parkplätze, sehr freundlich, Zimmer groß, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Großzügige Badezimmer. Ein Team mit Geschmack.

Frühstück war umfangreich. Restaurant leider Ruhetag, somit wurde extra eine Ladesäule für mich reserviert, da ich zum Essen das Haus nochmal verlassen musste.

La posizione, da raggiungere in macchina, è isolata ma era quello che cercavamo. L'accoglienza è stata perfetta, tutti molto gentili e accoglienti. Non c'è ascensore e questo potrebbe essere un problema per chi non può salire e scendere le scale. La camera ampia, confortevole con tutto quello che ci si aspetta, manca il minibar ma pazienza.

Das familiengeführte Hotel und die Freundlichkeit mit der ich empfangen wurde war außergewöhnlich. Abendessen super, Frühstück sehr gut. Ich werde jetzt immer dort übernachten. Bereits bei meinem ersten Aufenthalt war alles perfekt.

Excellent breakfast

Some years ago we had two nights in this hotel I(nice old facade) in one of the double rooms. As I remember the room was rather small, bathrooms even smaller and the urgent need for refiurbishing. Since we were there during off-season the heating system did not work for a long time which made the stay rather uncomfortable.
This time we booked one of the appartments because they are bigger. And so was the bathroom. Convinient for two persons. Towels and hairdryer providet. The shower cabin ist hard to enter because the step is very high and deep so handycapped persons may have some difficulties there.
The bedroom/living room has ben obviously refurbished not to long ago and is equipped with a very small flatscreem TV two small tables and two chairs. Not really suitable to work. Even though we have been there again during off-season the heating system did work. As a courtesy one bottle of water was provided with compliments whitch I found quite nice. If this is not enough you can help yourself from the fridge (soft drinks and beer) located outisde of the appartment on the floor which is priced very reasonly and conviniently: You just put the money in a box.Unfortunately the beds havent been replaced during the last refurbishing session so they were quite old, short and narrow. The double bed consists of two single beds which habe been moved together. Even worse the mattresses are worn out and totally soft and weak. Not quite comfortable to sleep. (-1point) Sensitive natures may feel discomfortable because of the rather transparent curtain which does not really keep the light out for a long sleep (-1). Fineally about 30m away from your window you will find a railroad track. Though trains run slowly at a rather low frequentcy you may find this disturbing. I didn`t notice it much and I call myselfe sensitive in that matter but maybe someone else does. The kitchen looked clean and complete but since we didnt use it Ill not rate it.
Breakfast was ok, with a wide range of jams, cerials and a selection of (not the finest but ok) cheese and could cuts. A selection of tea and jug of coffee have been provided as well als cold rinks. Personally I think the breakfast at 11€ per person is a bit overpriced considering a room charge of 109€ per night. The staff was always very friendly and attentive. Check in and out proceudre was ok. Keep in mind there is no reception so you need to go to the restaurant to do that. Cash or EC (V-Pay) Card is preferred. Not sure about other credit cards. Parking is for free but you may encounter problems in finding a parking lot during weekends during peak season because of the close tuourist attraction "Reckenhöle = Recken Cave " You can ask in the hotel for a guidet tour. Considering price and all the drawbacks I confirmed my decition to rate it 3 points.
