Everything was excellent. One of the best stays in. Romania
Nothing's really everything exceeded dxpectations
First of all location is great.
The landscape is extraordinary, the view of the hills around while sitting on terrace is memorable .
Wonderfull location and view with extremly well trained staff, friendly, respectful , attentive, never heard them say they can’t do something and tried their best to accomodate our every need which is a rarity in the region and i would argue romania as a whole and i have visited quite a few 5 star resorts. The food at the restaurant is amazing as well the brisket is michelin star quality.
Might benefit from a spa and more organised relaxing spots in the beautiful garden.
everything was great. breakfast was amazing, diverse.

The location in a small village was idyllic on the surface. The property seems new and very well decorated, with old pieces of furniture blending in with the new. The room was squeaky clean. The proximity to other villages makes for a memorable trip.
Because of the relatively high price per night it commands (well above other properties in the area), it fell short of expected standards in a few areas:
- we had a quadruple room and although the bed sheets were super clean, the bed frames were old (as in "traditional 100 years old"). While quaint to look at (they are nicely painted) once you laid down to sleep they moved and squeaked and every time you gently turned you'd be woken up by the noise. The soft mattress didn't really help matters, either. So essentially you had to not move at all in order to get some sleep. Great for those who can, but if you toss and turn (even a little) be prepared for a sleepless night. Perhaps adding some brackets to stabilize the bed frames would help. It sure can't make it worse.
- we stayed for 2 nights in mid-August, and the room had 1 external window, but also central air conditioning! However, when we tried using the AC, it ended up blowing hot air, never reaching anything near a cooling temperature. After 5 min, and once the room turned into a proper sauna, we gave up and turned the hot AC off...
- the bathroom has a floor vent through which stinky fumes from the wider sewage system waft in, making what is a very modern and clean bathroom unbearable to be in at times. This one is tricky to solve because the property is near derelict houses (we had one as our view from the window) and poverty abounds in the village. It's hard to run a good service in a place lacking basic infrastructure and not much the owners alone can do to fix this one.
- The breakfast is standard buffet fare, with few but adequate options and nothing special about it. The unexpected thing was that when we and several other guests showed up in the middle of breakfast hours, there was nothing left in the buffet (apart from orange juice and bread). It took the staff a good while to restock the buffet, while some of the guests were hovering around looking confused (and hangry).
The property is located in a beautiful surroundings and the staff was great and very hospitable.
We booked a house for 4 people, and although in the ad is says that there are 2 bedrooms and that the property has 60 square meters, this is untrue. I reckon that the size of the house is significantly smaller - and one of the bedrooms is just a bed under the stairs. This meant that the house was not confortabile for 4 people to share - so we spent quite a lot of time in the restaurant terrace.

Food, I think that it could be better
Very nice and cozy. The property is very well kept and the staff was amazing. You can enjoy a delicious dinner on the terrace. We stayed in the tiny house and it was very clean and comfy.
The breakfast was excellent.
Charming traditional decorations all around the house, very clean rooms (I loved how the linen and towels smell, fresh and soft). The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The location is very convenient, on our way to the Via Transilvanica trail. We had our bicycles with us, but the property has a few bicycles you can use for free. Also a big plus was the restaurant, considering the village is small and doesn’t have many options for having a meal. The breakfast is included in the room rate (a nice surprise for us) and includes a wide range of good quality products incl. local food. Large yard with amazing views where you can relax, while sitting on the terrace or playing table tennis.

Rooms looked exactly like the photos. Great facilities, very clean. Staff was very friendly & accomodating. Amazing garden and green estate. Good food. Close to Viscri and Mesendorf, so it was a good home-base to visit the area.
The location (although far away from it) overlooks the DN road, so in the evening you can hear the traffic.
