That we had to end our vacation
Needed to attend a wedding which was at 10.30.
I had requested for an early check in.
I was told if I checked in at 11 it was fine.
Checking in anytime before that was chargeable.
Receptionist Ms Nagarathna however offered to give us a room where we could change, and shower etc to attend wedding .
When I reached the hotel, around 10 a.m, the same receptionist directed me to a smelly general wash room without privacy, at the hotel to change and get ready to the wedding.
I was very surprised at this and asked to talk to the manager, she responded saying she was the senior most and we needed to talk only to her. We were getting late and the discussion was going nowhere, so we left to the attend the ceremony.
My stay at Royal Orchid Central Kireeti Hampi was truly exceptional. The room was spacious, immaculate, and maintained to perfection. What made the experience even more memorable was the incredible hospitality from every member of the team — from the manager and front desk staff to the room attendants, chefs, waiters, and security personnel. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel valued and special throughout our stay.
One thing we didn’t particularly like was the hotel’s location. Although Royal Orchid Central Kireeti Hampi is beautifully built and offers a comfortable stay, it is around 13 km away from the main Hampi temple area, and the road leading to the hotel can be quite challenging.
Another important point for future guests: if you plan to dine at the hotel restaurant, it’s better to clear the payment after every meal instead of adding everything to the room bill. We noticed that during final checkout, additional charges like SGST, CGST, and service charges seemed to be applied again on the accumulated bill. Paying directly at the restaurant after each meal may help avoid confusion or extra charges later. We actually realized this after observing another guest settling their restaurant bill immediately after dining.

We were enroute from Mumbai to Bengaluru, so it serves our purpose for a nights halt
The buffets are done in an open kitchen with an atrium above, they need better exhaust systems for the food cooking fumes to not stay within the hotel
The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel
It took a while for a porter to appear on arrival to assist with the luggage

The suite we booked was very spacious and clean. The hotel is well kept. The staff is friendly and efficient.
The breakfast buffet spread didn't give much options to choose from. The hotel can arrange a better menu for the money they are charging.
1. Location, Royal Orchid Central Keeriti is 600/700 mt away from the Bus Stand. It is accessible from all the important Tourist spots at Hampi
2. Ample of Parking Space especially for SUVs or large vehicles too.
1. They were absolutely not prepared to manage the Christmas crowd. Food quality and Taste was below average. Hygiene around the dining tables were poorly compromised.
I can write 10 stories of poor customer service but it might not help is what i feel.
2. Cost of stay was over the roof for a basic room with basic amenities.
3. Some parts of the hotel looks new and some part looks as historic as Hampi.
We felt cheated by booking. com. You cannot exploit your customers for profits like you did in this case.
In our 20+ years of travelling, this experience was by far the poorest.
