Worth the drive and we loved it!

Owner-scammer, hiking for 3 hours was easier that dealing with him.

Soon after booking the owner contacted me saying that there was a mistake with the room I choose, and I can't get a room I chose, but when I asked him if I should contact Booking support, he said something like "Don't worry bro just come and we will handle it here). Which was obviously a trick so I come and have no other choice but to stay.

The owner was refusing to give me the room I booked, tried to convince me consistenetly to cancel so he would give me a different room, didn't want to check me in, somehow had access to all my details of the card I used (including CVV security code). And I talked to other guests and read other reviews and it's common practice in this hotel convincing people to cancel, and sometimes lying about prices to get more. He even tried avoiding filling all my information properly when I insisted on check-in, so I had to literally give him commands on what he didn't fill out. Like he didn't want have any records of me actually staying in the hotel.

Moreover the rooms were not very clean, WiFI didn't work on the top floor, there are no some of the basic utilities like hair dryer or kettle.

Based on other reviews like on Google maps he often puts people in such situations, tricking them with the price or cancelation, especially if he understands that you had a long journey, tired and it's late and you have 1 night booking (so it would be hard to just leave), he would wait until you arrive and only then he would start pulling his stunts.

Do not recommend. Brought me tons of stress. Completely unprofessional, instead of resting after a long 3 hours hike I had to deal with the horrible owner trying not to get scammed. Do not let their fake family-friendliness trick you.

Highly recommended. You won’t find many experiences like this in your life.
Pros:

Beautiful views - spectacular position overlooking the mountains. The hosts treated us like family. The gentleman who owns the hotel with his wife and son was hospitable, warm and funny. Our stay was a highlight of the trip around Northern Turkey.

Love on top of the mountain
Pros:

What a lovely place. Taifun and his parents are such warm & welcoming hosts, and then this hotel: comfortable standard and a breathtaking view from a large glass front & terrasse in the restaurant/lobby area. But also built with a great understanding & respect for the traditional architecture and heritage of the region. Something otherwise hard to find. Comfortable beds, a wood fire stove in the lobby where you will get served a welcome "cay" and can relax. And as I understood most of the vegetables & dairy served is from their own garden & cow: for sure you can see the garden directly outside the hotel with the hard-working mother. Cok tessekuller! :-)

Cons:

The light bulbs in the hotel rooms have a bit cold/white light. A warmer atmosphere would come from yellow bulbs and maybe decentral light or reading light. I discussed it with the lovely manager Taifun and I think he understood.
