Good food
Very bad uncomfortable room
Nice welcoming pub with good rooms.
Nothing to dislike.
Friendly staff
Walls a bit scuffed, could do with a paint
Ground floor room.
Easy check in.
Shabby decor and very small bathroom.
Room smelt musty and damp.
Wonderful staff and good location
The shower unit rather dated and the water backs up so a bit off maintenance and a better clean
Convenient for work purposes. Good brekkie in the morning as an added extra
Shame the breakfast wasnt included in the cost of the room. £11.50 for a breakfast is a bit steep
Wonderful staff and ambiance.
It was very warm and there was no air conditioning.
The place has a good ambience; the food and staff were excellent and everything was acceptably clean - though many of the carpets are grubby, despite regular cleaning,
Our room (14) was badly designed with the bed unnecessarily close to one wall, making getting in and out awkward, There was a similar problem with the location of the washbasin, which made use of the toilet difficult, The room was not properly serviced and breakfast on our second day (1 x porridge and 1 x eggs Benedict) took over 1/2 hour to appear (with only 6 other people in the restaurant), making us late for an appointment.
Excellent location, lovely staff, great food and deinks
The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner , the floor tiles were a bit grubby if I am being picky and one of the shower wall tiles was cracked, the shower head needs a descale but worked ok
Not enough staff.
I liked the price, I liked the parking, I liked the staff, I liked the location, I liked the history of the place, I liked the relaxed atmosphere, I liked the very comfortable bed and I loved I couldn't hear anything from the pub downstairs (I was in room no8)
I couldn't open the window fully, but this is the case in a lot of hotels. A fan in the room would have been great.
