Great place to stay and break our journey . Highly recommend
Pros:

Friendly helpful staff , huge comfortable bed and very good value

Cons:

The rooms we had were fabulous but the shower was an over bath system… a walk in shower would have ensured safety for less mobile and more mature guests such as ourselves… we didn’t feel safe to use the shower .

Comfortable overnight stay
Pros:

Staff polite and welcoming, checked if my room was available to check in early. Room and small ensuite clean and tidy. I visited whilst we were in the heatwave, a fan was provided and on when I checked in.

Rooms are sweltering, the pub was dirty, service was poor, breakfast was poor.
Pros:

The grounds and views are great

Cons:

The rooms are dated, the pub was not very clean, the service was mediocre. The room at night was 38 degrees C windows didn't open. The fan provided was pointless. We had to sleep in the car.

Brillant manager, would stay again because of him
Pros:

The manager, who I think was called Danny (my apologies if not), went above and beyond. The rooms, food, and general feel were as you'd expect, but he made a real difference

Cons:

It was a hot night and the room was like an oven

Great stay value for money with friendly staff
Pros:

Was very clean.
Staff were very friendly
Nice breakfast

Cons:

Property was extremely hot and the fan we requested didn’t work properly.
We had a room by the main road so can hear traffic. Tip - ask for a room not facing the main road.
At 7am someone started to do gardening with loud equipment, be great if they could do it a tad later

Good for an overnighter
Pros:

Lovely room and comfortable bed with great tea and coffee facilities.

Cons:

Bath needed a bath mat in to make showering possible for me having mobility issues and for my elderly parents.

Not worth the money, would not stay again.
Pros:

It looked a good place on the outside but as it was a last minute stay we needed we didn’t eat at the hotel.
Our room was up two flights of stairs with a heavy case so was not easy for us 70 year olds.
Room had no frills for £120 a night, disappointed!

Cons:

Tiny bathroom took ages for hot water to come through. Toilet difficult to flush for my arthritic hands.
No spare toilet roll. Pillows terrible. The little interaction we had with staff was fine but IMO the room was only worth half the price paid especially as breakfast was not included.
