A unique heritage experience filled with culture and beauty in simplicity
Pros:

The location overlooking the UNESCO Heritage site and the design of some of the rooms as we had 4 rooms. 1 was exceptionally beautiful, one was really well designed, one was mediocre and one felt like a basement prison.
There was breakfast provided but it had very limited options and quantities with the orange juice tasting artificial but a really nice jam.

Shout out to Angelo from the breakfast team he was one of the kindest most hospitable people I’ve ever met on my 24 countries travel journey

Cons:

The staff was no staff. They had some people come in to prepare breakfast in the morning and someone checked us in and there was two lovely ladies who cleaned the stairs and the roof with soap and water but other than that it was completely empty if you needed assistance with anything including the reception. The door even locks with a code because there’s no one on the property except guests.

No parking which doesn’t seem like a big problem except parking is an issue in the whole city. There’s only one public parking and rates can add up pretty quickly.

Fijn familiair hotel op top locatie in Berat.
Pros:

De locatie en het ontbijt op het terras met fantastisch uitzicht.

Cons:

Het was onhandig dat je niet met de auto bij hotel kon parkeren. Maar in de buurt wel (betaalde) parkeerplekken.

Uitstekende locatie!
Pros:

Heel mooi authentiek hotel op een zeer goede locatie.

Cons:

Het ontbijt viel wat tegen. Er was weinig variatie en het leek ook niet altijd vers te zijn.

Pros:

A nice little hotel in a quiet street of old Berat. Especially the terrace and breakfast were very nice and charming with a great view. The rooms was great, too. Everything was very clean. We had a great time and would always come back.

Mooi hotel op een gunstige locatie in Berat.
Pros:

Het hotel ziet er mooi uit en heeft een fantastisch uitzicht tijdens het lekkere ontbijt.
De kamer is klein maar van alle gemakken voorzien.

Cons:

Geen verbeterpunten.

Great location, personall and room
Pros:

The location could not have been better, personnel really friendly and caring as well. I would recommend to anyone!

Cons:

Airco was leaking, however the receptionist asked in the morning how he could improve our stay and fixed it immediately!! So it did not make our stay less good (but just to think of somefeedback)

Prachtig maar mist een goede basis om nachtrust te faciliteren

Ontbijt erg goed, persooneel erg vriendelijk, locatie top!

Cons:

De kamers zijn lawaaierig door geluid van buiten. Denk aan moskee en kraaiende hanen in de ochtend. Enkelglazen ramen houden dat geluid nauwelijks tegen. Plus er zijn geen degelijke gordijnen die het licht tegenhouden. Erg vermoeiend om nachten achter elkaar slecht te slapen en voor mij persoonlijk groot nadeel aan hotel Borklad. Goed kunnen slapen in een hotel is wel een van de basis dingen die in mag verwachten. Zonde want verder is het hotel uitstekend.

Pros:

Location is nice, everything very walkable

Cons:

Parking is not easy, down the hill is a paid parking place. Rooms need an upgrade, shower is very small and everything gets wet

Very nice family owned boutique hotel in heart ofHistorical center
Pros:

Centrally located boutique hotel in heart of old city. AC was working properly ( very rate in Albania), rooms clean and cozy. Breakfast was good. staff was very supportive . Very close to castle and restaurants

Cons:

Had to walk 800 m to find a parking spot
