Pros:

Room 3 is the biggest room, has a king size bed and a magnificent terrace overlooking the rock. We paid extra for the room once at the hotel and it was well worth the money.
Mariano, the front man, was very helpful and friendly. He runs a car service to the vineyards, too!

Cons:

No restaurant.
My husband finds hills very tricky and the hotel is closer to the rock than to the centre of town, where most of the bars, restaurants and shopping is located. We took a tuktuk there and back without a problem.

Exceptional
Pros:

I'll go back again and again. The family that runs this place are wonderful and helpful and accommodating. I travel in my car, so I take a lot of things with me. A heater, a coffee maker, and this time I took things to grill out on the patio, enjoying the fabulous view of Peña Blanca. A lively street, especially on the weekends, I enjoy walking down to the town, and then grabbing a 50 peso taxi back up to the hotel. I stay here a lot, the night before family needs to be taken to the airport. M is so wonderful to open the parking lot gate at all hours for me to leave and come back. Yes, it takes 30 minutes to drive to the airport, but it is a straight shot, easy drive, compared to other arrangements from San Miguel de Allende. And I always enjoy Bernal! Much to this wonderful family!

Good stay
Pros:

The hotel was a nice stay. Bed was normal, shower had hot water, and the outside entrance looked very nice. The room itself was a good comfort level with decent space. Location was well between the two of the main areas we wanted to visit at walking distances. Service from staff was welcoming.

Cons:

The door to our room felt light and we could hear outside noises.
