Gute Lage, aber das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht
Pros:

Lage: Busstation gleich nebenan und ca. 10 Minuten Gehdistanz zum Bahnhof; Früherer Check-in war möglich; freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen

Cons:

Die überwiegend sehr guten Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Bezüglich deren Echtheit habe ich gewisse Zweifel (aufgrund von fehlenden Begründungen oder der teilweise seltsam übersetzten Texte) oder ich hatte einfach nur "zufällig" Pech mit meinen Zimmern. Ich habe zweimal innerhalb einer Woche auf der Durchreise je eine Nacht im Hotel Helmi verbracht in zwei unterschiedlichen Zimmern. Die Betten im Einzelzimmer sind extrem schmal und dadurch ungemütlich. Besonders eines der Zimmer bräuchte dringend eine richtige Grundreinigung. Die Einrichtung ist altmodisch. Die Beleuchtung empfand ich als sehr unangenehm, die Bettlampe hängt direkt nah über dem Kopf. Der Schlauch in der Dusche war beschädigt. Die Steckdosen sind unpraktisch angebracht. Die Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen. Insgesamt habe ich das Zimmer deshalb als ungemütlich empfunden.

Der Frühstücksraum hat mir gefallen, die Auswahl ist jedoch durchschnittlich.

Das Buchungssystem scheint ebenfalls Mängel aufzuweisen. Booking.com musste aus Gründen der Sicherheit den PIN für diese Buchungen ändern. Zudem gab es über WhatsApp einen Scam-Versuch mit gefälschtem Namen des Hotels Helmi. Das heisst, meine Mobile-Nummer gelangte an Betrüger.


Für den gleichen Preis (rund 90 Euro) - oder gar weniger - konnte ich im selben Zeitraum in anderen grösseren Städten Finnlands ein Einzelzimmer in höherer Sternekategorie buchen, die mit SEHR GROSSEM Abstand deutlich besser ausgestattet waren.

A good choice when you are in Turku
Pros:

Good location right next to the city center, and in close proximity to the bus which goes towards the harbour.

Tasty breakfast with many local Finnish specialties.

Kind staff members.

Pros:

Huone oli siisti. Hyvää vastinetta rahoille, kiva perustasoinen hotelli. Sijainti vähän sivussa ydinkeskustasta, mutta linja-autoaseman vieressä. Hyvä aamiainen. Hieno vanha funkkistyylinen rakennus.
