Manulalu Jungle

La communication avec le personnel est très difficile : si un employé vous indique que la navette pour aller au restaurant n’est pas disponible, ne pas hésiter à demander à quelqu’un d’autre.
Le wifi ne fonctionne pas, les couettes sont déchirées.

We were very surprised that there was no shuttle available to take us to 1 km between the accommodation and the restaurant. The only facility was for the staff to ride you up and down on their scooters which was very difficult considering it was raining a lot of the time we were even stranded in our accommodation and unable to get to the restaurant at one point because of the weather this made things very difficult. Unfortunately, this wasn’t communicated to us prior to booking the accommodation that the car was out of service and had gone for maintenance.

Also the shower in the bathroom was very poor and lacked hot water to have a warm shower there poor room service as well so we found ourselves constantly having to ask for the basics such as a refill of teabags, hand towel and soap.

Despite the lack of a shuttle they were charging extra to have a lunch and dinner transported from the restaurant to your jungle accommodation which we thought wasn’t fair considering they weren’t providing a service that they had promised they would .

Was etwas schade war, war dass es wenig Essensangebot für Vegetarier gab. Zudem hatten wir das Gefühl, dass alles etwas teurer war, als in der Stadt (Roller mieten, essen, usw.) und man ebenfalls auch recht teure Taxifahrten angewiesen ist, wenn man nicht selbst mit einem Roller anfährt.

Es hätte ein bisschen sauberer sein können. Bei unserer Ankunft waren einige tote Tiere im Haus.

Food in the restaurant is just average. They have a lot of potential with the stunning location and big kitchen.

Fuimos en Noviembre i hay infinidad de mosquitos.
Por supuesto, eso no es culpa del hotel. Estas en medio de la jungla y es normal.
El problema está en que las puertas del bungalow no cierran bien. Por debajo pasa la mano entera. Por lo que pueden entrar mosquitos libremente…
El restaurante es precioso, pero la comida muy mal. Nos hicieron una “torrija” que la llaman jungle toast, que tenia sabor a producto de limpieza/lejía… muy mal

La distanza tra i bungalow e il ristorante/reception rappresenta un po' una scomodità, anche se hanno attivato un servizio navetta (in scooter) e c'è comunque l'opzione di farsi recapitare colazione e cena in camera.

The bungalow was not so very clean, for accommodation such as this and the higher price compared to other places, we have stayed across Indonesia, this was not up to the expected level. When arriving the toilet seat was covered with wet brown spots and the toilet bin with poo of the previous guests. There are just too many things not clean: dirty and ripped mosquito nets, black stains on the towels and bed sheets, shower could be better cleaned, windows full of greasy finger stains, curtains dirty and unironed hanging messy around. This took somehow what the 'wow-feeling' away of the place.
We asked 3 times for delivery of our food to the room, which is great to have, but 3 times they forgot parts or our entire delivery...which ended up waiting more than 1 hour for our food. One day we received a lunch box for our hike and the bananas had worms in them... The place just screams for more hygiene

Het warm water deed het de helft van de tijd niet. Ook de Wi-Fi deed het soms. Verder is er geen airco en ventilator en kunnen de huisjes wel erg warm worden. Het bed had een kuil waardoor je erin zakt. Er zijn geen restaurants in de buurt behalve het restaurant van het verblijf. Het eten was matig van smaak en werd ook ongelijktijdig uitgeserveerd. Daardoor eet je niet echt samen.

Tout était parfait
