Disappointing
Pros:

Lady on reception was lovely the location was perfect for us visiting the leasure complex for a event , breakfast was OK bedding clean

Cons:

Ohhhh the bathroom decor was really bad did not use the shower did not want to risk it tiling paper coming off everything just patched up , room really cold everything really worn from flooring to walls taps loose , as only staying 1 night just got on with it but will definitely not be staying again

Great place to stop over if touring , at a very good price.
Pros:

Although it doesn't have its own car park there is a large free car park only a few minutes walk away and Chris made sure that I knew about it to avoid charges. The location feels very safe and secure.
The hotel is popular with touring cyclists and has a very informal and welcoming. Very handy for the station and just outside the town centre. The property is bigger than you think from the outside and has a good-sized light breakfast area just down from the bar.
Pleasant single room with en-suite. Enjoyable evening in the bar (non-alcoholic offering available) and genial host.

Cons:

No issues - though mobility-impaired visitors might not like the stairs up to the rooms (this is a Victorian building).

Great hotel close to all amenities
Pros:

Lovely little hotel, clean and very friendly hosts, close to all amenities and very close to Railway Station. Will definitely stay again

It was fine.
Pros:

It was close to the station, staff very helpful and friendly, evening meal was delicious. I left too early to have a breakfast there.

Cons:

The shower and when arrived there was a plumbing issue toilet didn’t flush and no cold water out of tap. I needed to go out briskly.

Pros:

Close to the train station and a short walk to downtown. If you're visiting Houseteds Roman Fort there is a bus stop very close. Staff were very friendly, we were able to store our bags (no charge) while we went exploring Houseteds. Breakfast was very enjoyable and made to order.

Personeel was geweldig. Erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

Cons:

Buiten het personeel om, alles. Prijs - kwaliteit verhouding gaat volledig mank. Veel te hoge kosten voor wat je krijgt. Pand en kamers zijn zeer oud en gedateerd. Het ruikt er muf, de kamers zijn koud en kil. De verwarming was kapot en moest telkens op ons aanvraag gemaakt worden. De douche was erg slecht. Het ophangsysteem zat los van de muur, de waterdruk was laag en op 1 ochtend werd de douche slechts lauw. We hadden een booking inclusief ontbijt, maar op de 2e ochtend, de ochtend van uitchecken, was er geen personeel en was de keuken gesloten. Voor het ontbijt hebben we betaald, maar dus niet ontvangen. Na telefonisch contact opgenomen te hebben met de eigenaar zou ik teruggebeld worden, maar nooit een telefoontje teruggekregen. Ook het contact via de booking.com pagina is door de eigenaar niet op gereageerd.
