Space between bed and desk area was somewhat limited.
Nice breakfast, helpful staff.
No Yorkshire puddings left for the Sunday roast. That'll be no Yorkshire puddings in Yorkshire! Note to the chef: eggs, flour, water, beef fat ! I had to settle for fish and chips. No chunky chips left and a piece of fish that looked like it had been cooked about a week earlier. Our room was directly above the toilets and the hand dryer was going off every 30 seconds. Not very impressed.
Breakfast location and staff
Cleanliness and condition of building very small. High small window in room could see.out of it.
The location is fantastic. Our room was small at the top of the building with no proper window, but bed and shower were good. Breakfast was good, but no cereal option, and the menu was headed 'Brunch' which was slightly odd. Clearly popular with hikers. Easy to get into Ilkley, which is a lovely town.
The whole property was tired and needs a bit of tlc and money spent in updating decor and rooms. A lot of the chairs in the dining and bar areas were very uncomfortable. Slow at clearing glasses and wiping tables down. Still had Christmas decorations out in the dining room in August!
Loved the location, it was a lovely Inn, staff were great
I was in room 9 right at the top, the room didnt have any windows apart from velux skylights, not ideal but the room was nice, however the radiator although it was off as thevroom was very warm anyway, but the radiator kept making really loud noises all through the night around every 20 mins which kept me awake all night, so I had a terrible sleep
Comfortable room.
I did not realize that it would require a taxi to get up the hill.
Staff very helpful and cheerful. Room spacious and well kitted out. Food excellent
There was no lift and three flights of stairs!
Outstanding welcome and best location ever for a beautiful hike in the timeless Ilkley Moor
Breakfast very good although coffee could have been hotter.
Toilet roll holder needs to be on the wall not nearly on the floor
Great location
Location is great.
Toilet didnt flush too well. Materess very firm. Obviously fine if you like a very hard materess though. Breakfast is nice.
Great location, good food and very friendly staff.
High window in bedroom
Atrocious wi-fi. No fridge, phone or safety deposit box in the room. Bland food. Tables not cleared for over 2 hours. Loud music coming from the top floor from 11pm until after 1am - we left after 1 night of a paid for 3 night stay
Location was good views fantastic had a big room which was spotless bed was comfortable checkout not till 12.00 which is good
Had to send evening meal back as everything on plate was cold but they replaced it chef needs to learn to fry eggs as I had 3 and all of them had hard yolks there is no fruit or cereal for breakfast and on website food menu is totally different to menu they have now there are no pasta dishes on menu now
the room was clean, nice and suitable for working visits
nothing, it was all lovely
Lovely hotel with amazing views from lounge and restaurant.
Stayed with an old school friend and we really enjoyed the hotel. Lovely room (we had the family room so we had a lot of space) we ate lunch, dinner and breakfast there. All excellent. Historical information on the walls of this lovely old building. I will be staying again.
Just a quick word about Ilkley, what an amazing town for shopping. I have never seen as many high-end shops in such a small town! Definitely worth a visit.
Nothing! Can’t fault the hotel at all.
