Everything about the hotel was excellent
Nothing to dislike
Our main reason for staying at The Cow & Calf was to visit family who live in Burley in Wharfedale. This proved very convenient and we also enjoyed the opportunity to walk on Ilkley Moor. The views are spectacular, come rain or shine!
With plenty of parking, we were warmly welcomed in the bright and traditional bar. Our room, right at the top was clean, comfortable and spacious - and nicely furnished. We had breakfast one morning; the menu offered good choice and was good.
We will return here - hopefully in better climes when we can take the footpath down to Burley.
There was a strange drainage smell in the shower room on our arrival, but this did pass.

Home from home. A lovely place to stay and also eat. Spent a week here whilst on a course close by and loved it.

There was a lot of noise early morning by the bottle bins being emptied as it was a warm night our window was open.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Poor quality toilet paper, bed was slightly too firm, tv not a smart tv
The cooked brunch was very good.
No cereals available.
Sauces a jams only available on request.
unfortunately we didn't stay long enough to really make use of the food, functions and surroundings. we just slept and left early the next morning.. I would definitely return however as the surrounding moors looked ideal to walk through and the view was amazing+
