Pros:

Nicht viel.

Cons:

Laut da direkt an der Straße und schlecht gedämmt. Außerdem ist die Aussicht nicht mehr existent, da die Bucht aufgeschüttet wurde und neue Hotels gebaut werden.

Das Zimmer war nicht einladend.

Our stay at Cat Ba Bay Vision Hotel was completely unexpected in the best way.
We arrived in Cat Ba after a long bus and ferry trip from Hanoi, tired and slightly confused about where to go next. It was already evening and the streets were busy with travelers and motorbikes. When we reached the hotel, the staff welcomed us with a calm smile and helped us check in quickly.
The room itself was simple but very comfortable. What surprised us the most was the balcony. From there we could see the small lights of fishing boats moving slowly across the bay at night.
The next morning something funny happened. We planned to rent a motorbike to explore the island, but we accidentally left the key inside the room and locked ourselves out. The staff helped us immediately and solved the problem in minutes, laughing together with us about our travel mistake.
Later they also recommended a quiet café nearby where we had one of the best Vietnamese coffees of the trip.
Cat Ba Bay Vision Hotel may not be luxurious, but it has a warm atmosphere, helpful people, and a location that makes exploring the island very easy. Sometimes those things matter more than anything else.

Located at the city center, the hotel is tidy and clean. Breakfast is good as well. They have elevator. Owner and receptionist are good people.

Cons:

Due to on going construction, you can hear the noise in the room. Also its on the main highway so you will hear vehicles and people talking. View of the bay is obstructed due to the development in the area.

The receptionist greeted us warmly and immediately helped us plan the next day’s schedule - kayaking in Lan Ha Bay and a short trek in the national park.
That evening we sat on the balcony watching the lights of the harbor slowly appear as the sky turned dark.
It felt like the perfect pause after days of traveling through northern Vietnam.
The next morning the staff even prepared takeaway coffee because our boat tour started early.
Small details like that made the stay memorable.
