The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking and a nice area to sit and relax.
Nothing a positive stay
The food was okay
No Internet...no milk...no WiFi..sub standard room ..mattress poor..dirty windows and window sill.. poor toilet flush n..tiny ..hard towels
This is a simple place, for what we needed it was perfect, the bed was very comfortable and it was very clean.
Staff were lovely and accommodating for our pet dog.
Can't think of anything we didn't like.
The location of the Barn suited us, as it wason the nextvstreet from our friends.
It's also not too far away from Scarborough
When we arrived, 2 hours earlier than the rooms should have been available, we were told that we could have the rooms then, which was good news, as we had gone to Cayton to attend a friend's funeral at 2 p.m and needed to get changed.
We asked for a food menu, so we could have something to eat before going to the funeral and after being handed the menus were told, we have no bacon for the hunters chicken, no grilled food, or pulled pork.
When we went up to our rooms to get changed, although it was 23° outside, the heating in the hallway, toilet and rooms was on, making it very uncomfortable. It also caused us to have a very uncomfortable, sleepless night.
On waking up, we decided to have a cuppa, but oon realised that although we had sufficient tea, coffee and sugar sachets, we had no milk in either of the rooms of the three couples who had booked in for the funeral.
There was no one manning the reception and the pub itself was closed, so we were unable to obtain any milk for any of us to have an early morning cuppa.
Our room was also next to the shared toilet, so every time we did happen to nod off through the night, we were awoken by the toilet being flushed.

Staff not particularly friendly, bathroom not clean, courtesy coffee without spoons, miniature towels no good for shower, rooms not particularly clean, interior really dated.
Staff welcoming, good parking, good location, room basic but clean.
Shared bathroom at the end of the corridor :-(
Room smelled like hairspray and was overpriced
