Cons:

The atmosphere within the pub was quite hostile , the local drunk threatening his partner with violence, at 1 point he threatened to kill her .
The food that we finally received was atrocious my partners food they couldn't fathom out at the till , then came wrong , my mixed grill was the worst I've ever eaten, sausages burnt steak was like shoe leather and chicken dry .
The room was filthy dust all round the back of the bed , they're was even a piece of broken biscuit underneath it , also at night the cental heating was on and couldn't be turned down or off , was like being in the desert ....Sunday morning we couldn't wait to get away .

Value for money stay for our weekend away.
Pros:

Good location, easy to find, plenty of parking, very comfortable bed, plenty of towels. Our room was clean, bedding crisp and fresh, great pillows!! This is an old property with plenty of history. Staff were all friendly, helpful and obliging. Great value for money and the food we ordered was good. Our room had a shared bathroom, which we could see from the detail during booking, and was not a problem for us on this stay.

Cons:

Nothing we found that would stop us staying again, however there are a few things that would benefit from some attention: cobwebs in the shared bathroom, broken light pulley in there too. The window frame in our room needs to have the black mould removed.
