Excellent, comfortable, exceptionally clean.
Pros:

Beautiful old inn. Lovely surroundings, and a garden to sit and have a drink.
Car park for guests.
Rooms were huge and spotlessly clean.
Richard and his staff were so
welcoming and friendly and nothing
was too much trouble.
We shall certainly be returning for a longer stay and would certainly recommend.

Adequate but shows sign of wear and tear
Pros:

Location from Wells was good. Food in hotel was good. Staff were friendly. Parking close to hotel was a bonus. Hotel was in a nice setting.

Cons:

Bathroom was in a poor condition and needs refurbishing. The enamel bath was in a poor condition and badly scratched and chipped. A shower hose is a must especially as there was no shower in room. Wooden door frame in bathroom was rotten with a hole through to the outside. No bedside tables/reading lamps, no waste bin in bedroom. Stair carpet worn and poor lighting in hallway upstairs.

Pros:

Love this quirky little hotel, a very relaxing vibe with so much character. Excellent food & lovely staff. Large car park opposite & spacious garden at the back.

This is a lovely location and convenient but the bedroom and bathroom accommodation need updating.
Pros:

There was a warm welcome and the staff were helpful and friendly. The food on offer was very good, simple but well cooked. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The bath in the bathroom was outdated with flaking paint. Not suitable for older people and no shower alternative. Lack of bedside lamps and a double bedroom needs a second chair.
