Wirklich tolle Unterkunft direkt am Strand. Sehr sauber und europäischer Standard. Hier kann man richtig abschalten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Lage perfekt, sehr nettes Personal, super Essen, Surfstunden möglich

The villa was exactly what we needed on our last few days in Sri Lanka!m. The villa is run by a wonderful couple that has been in the hospital business for many years and it shows. It’s right in front of the beach which is pretty empty and clean. On the day we checked into our room the owner surprised us with a bday cake after our dinner which shows the level of kindness and hospitality they have towards their guests. The villa is clean, has good facilities, is in front of the beach, 24hr security, surfing classes, good breakfast, small boutique shop, a hammock and most importantly an excellent staff that were always helpful and kind. The location is a bit out from the busy city life but if you’re looking for an excellent beach (great for surfing) and some quiet time then this villa is a perfect choice. You can always take a 15min toktok to the closest city. The room layout is also really nice and practical with an open shower concept and comfortable bed. We loved our stay and will definitely come back again.

Staying at Vanina Villas felt like stepping into a private paradise. The property is dreamy, featuring a quiet swimming pool and a stunning beach right at your doorstep. Our villa was incredibly comfortable, and the food at the restaurant was consistently excellent.

A huge thank you to Myriam and Hervé for their warm hospitality and for making us feel like part of the family. We will definitely be back!

Das Hotel wird von einem sehr netten Pärchen geführt. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und man sieht die Liebe zum Detail in der ganzen Anlage. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und da es ein sehr kleines Hotel ist, finden sich immer genügend Liegen am Pool oder am Strand. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist einfach traumhaft schön, und man ist in wenigen Schritten an dem wunderschönen und ruhigen Strand. Die Besitzer stehen bei Fragen zu örtlichen Gegebenheiten freundlich zur Seite.

Superbe séjour, qualité et gentillesse du personnel ainsi que des propriétaires français très sympathiques, accueillant , ouvert et attentionné.
Cadre top , a l'écart des touristes avec accès direct plage et surf ( merci axel , prof génial !!), 1ere loge couché de soleil !!
La meilleur qualité nourriture de notre séjour ,masseur expérimenté, bref excellent adresse et bravo!!

Very nicely designed hotel, with clean and comfortable rooms and a very generous Western-style breakfast.
Its main highlight, in my opinion, is the location. It’s strategically positioned between major tourist spots, yet set directly on a very quiet beach, mostly frequented by Vanina’s guests, guests from the nearby hotel (also rather small) and local surfers. It feels much more authentic and pleasant than more famous places like Mirissa or Hiriketiya (each 30min drive away). The beach here is also great for both surfing and swimming.

My two adult daughters and I want peace and harmony after a roundtrip - and we got it and more during our 6-days stay.
We stayed at the room with sea view and only a nice sound of the sea. Clean and plenty of space.
The food - with a touch of France - was excellent. Always small surprises. Starting the day with a plate of fresh fruits. Ready for a day at the beach or by the swimming pool.
The decoration of the reception, restaurant and the atmosphere (shoes are not allowed) was magic.
The service with love, care and important for us humor. We also like the two dogs ;-)
We didn’t surf - but we need a reasons to come back one day. We got massage twice and it was very professional.
We celebrated New Year 2026 and it was like a kick start of the year. Warm recommendation from us if you need to relax and enjoy life 🙏🏻

Wir hatten eine super Zeit und fühlten uns direkt wohl. Alle sind super freundlich, die Lage zum surfen am Strand ist genial und Axel ist ein super Lehrer. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist hier richtig.

es war wunderbar. Jean und Myriam führen ein sehr familiäres Hotel. sie sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie geben sehr gute Empfehlungen für Restaurants, Strände und Ausflüge. Sie unterstützen bei der Organisation von Ausflügen oder Transport. Ihr Sohn Axel gibt sehr guten Surfunterricht. Ihr Chief of Staff, Kumara, ist sehr freundlich, genau wie das gesamte Personal. Die einzelnen Villen sind sehr schön eingerichtet und gemütlich. Das ganze Anwesen, der Pool und die Aufenthaltsbereiche sind wirklich sehr schön, ruhig und direkt am Strand gelegen. Für eine kurze Fahrt nach Matara nimmt man ein TukTuk. Dort gibt es sehr gute Restaurants. Am Strand beim Hotel, gibt es auch Orte, wo man Kleinigkeiten essen kann Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Elegant facilities at an A+ location on an uncrowded, beautiful beach with gracious hosts and great food.

Wonderful location

Myriam and Leo are prefect hosts, very open and welcoming. They were always ready to meet all of our needs. Bonus shoutout to masseur Rami, he was so good we had to use his services twice

Wonderful accomodation, directly on the beach, with all equipment needed and super nicely designed. Lovely staff and truly a great place to relax
