The staff, the ocean view, and the location were wonderful.
Need improvement on food services.
It was an amazing stay. Many things were close by. You're not far from downtown or the beach area. I would book there again without hesitation. The cliffside very was breathtaking.
There was nothing to dislike.
The manager was rude and unpleasant.

Home Sweet Home is our kind of resort, small and personal. Very laid back and Relaxing with a beautiful good location on the cliffs, surrounded by wonderful friendly and helpful staff. This was our second stay for 7 days and everything was super! We stayed in a suite and had Plenty of hot water, the AC worked great, Internet was good and the Fridge worked great. We had a nice secluded private porch on the cliffside. They served breakfast and lunch, and dinner by reservation. We had breakfast a couple days and it was very good. We got to meet Charlie, the owner of the resort. Charlie made it a point to say good bye to us when we were leaving to go home, what a nice Man.. Thanks for your Hospitality! We will definitely be staying at Home Sweet Home on our next visit to Jamaica and I Highly recommend Home Sweet Home Resort to anyone looking for a Resort with a laid back vibe on the Cliffs.
So for starters, not a luxury hotel. And no beach. If that is your thing, seek something else. For those who like the charm of peaceful surroundings, great sunsets, friendly people, at a fair price, consider.
Beaches are within a 10 min ride anyway, and beaches are not the key west end Negril thing anyways. Cliffs are, and there is a lot of private terraces made by the owners in between of those. Pick one, and you have access to the sea, sun and tranquillity. A whole different feel than the permanent loitering at Negrils seven mile beach around the corner.
As it was off season, the friendly American owner made a chat, just as welcoming as the lady at the reception. Ask her for in house snorkel sets and give it a good swim near your private seaside spot.

It was too noisy, I was there because of the half marathon and needed a good night sleep. But that didn't happen because it was too noisy.

The Staff at HSH are very nice, friendly and helpful. I felt comfortable and welcomed as soon as we arrived. We stayed in room 15 which was nice large room with a kitchenette. It has a private secluded porch with a excellent ocean view!! We would have given a better rating but not everything was great. We stayed for a week and only had hot water 1 day, don't care for cold showers. We didn't complain so I'm not sure what the problem was. The room has it looked like a brand new refrigerator but it didn't work, only the freezer worked. A Refrigerator and hot water is fairly major. The Kitchenette had a microwave, coffee maker and toaster and silverware, nothing else. we did get a couple plates from the manager. It was suppose to have a hot plate and didn't, luckily we brought our own Liddle Griddle. Despite the issues we had we are going back to stay at Home Sweet Home in February and we are hoping we have Hot Water and the Refrigerator is working. I will write another review when we get back in February...

Didn't get the rooms that was paid for,wasn't ready for visitors due to refurbishing
I didn’t like the way the staff members treated me she asked me to leave her property because my payment was declined so we had to leave at 07:30 in the morning of 1.7.24 she wanted me to pay again and I told her no I won’t so she told me to leave which I did
The locations
The property needs a lot of maintenance and an uplift. It’s a beautiful hotel it just needs a lot of work. My fridge was not working the ceiling was crumbling asleep I slept and fell on me the bathroom was not clean and had others hair in it I had to sleep with ants in my bed and the reason I was told was because it was going to rain. The door had a huge opening at the bottom. They could do better, honestly.
Great location, great service and a wonderful place for people who expect peace and beautiful views in not overly luxurious conditions. I highly recommend this hotel.
