Lovely old cottages, warm for the winter, large communal spaces & wonderful comfy bedrooms, great kitchen facilities too
As a house for a large group - one of the communal rooms could have had a TV.
Truly charming property, very friendly hosts, good food, interesting guests (apart from us Norwegians: US and Austrian).
Very narrow roads leading in to the property, but I guess that is part of the charm.
Das Haus war sehr schön, ruhig und idyllisch gelegen.
For older people especially …..Steps in bathroom, v windy staircase, places where you can hit head.
All the guests who had evening meal thought the main course was a starter! Then just a few chocolate truffles left on table. That was it!
No milk in bedroom for tea in morning.
The owners were really friendly and helpful...loved the honesty bar and texting breakfast order so it was ready when we sat down.
EVERYTHING!! Location is outstanding! Accomodation is quirky but so tasteful .The hosts Sam and Jo were charming and super helpful.Breakfast was delicious.
NOTHING!
Good parking and electric charging, super helpful staff with recommendations of what to do each day, delicious breakfast and dinner, comfortable room, super comfy bed, very hot powerful shower, dog friendly, stunning location!
Our room wasn’t cleaned one day when requested but it didn’t take away from our lovely stay
Our room was lovely with beautiful views from our window.
The breakfast was excellent
Sam & Jo were really welcoming and friendly (and Winston their lovely dog)
Perfect place for relaxing
Lovely breakfast- fresh local ingredients.
Beautiful quiet location.
The building is a beautiful long house, clearly lovingly restored , in extensive lush gardens , well off the beaten track so very peaceful
If it hadn’t been cloudy the night sky would have been amazing
There was a lovely sitting room area with fire to relax by, as well as an honesty bar next door.
The rooms were quirky and spacious and very comfortable with excellent hot showers
Sam and Jo were really welcoming and very helpful
Went to the Nobody Inn a 10 min drive away, which was fantastic , cozy Devon pub with great food (ignore sat nav, go the longer way back down the B road then up the main road to the pub, it’s small but takes a bus unlike the quickest route that we barely squeezed through
Will definitely return and would highly recommend for anyone who wants a Dartmoor base or just a lovely unwind
Nothing
