Really lovely and peaceful place with small gardens providing some shade, balconies and wonderful mountain views. Welcoming and friendly staff as well as excellent food and service. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had outstanding views! Highly recommend.
If the name 'Old Hunza Inn' sounds like shelter for weary caravans on the Old Silk Route, you would not be mistaken. First, it is perched high above the green Hunza Valley, with panoramic views of Rakaposhi and Spantik. Wake up to glorious vistas of snow-capped peaks and savour a superb breakfast of omelette and French toast washed down with a pot of tea. You are now ready to revel in the numerous treks and hikes that Hunza has to offer. Simply speak to the staff who will either organise the trip or point you towards sources.
The reception/dining space is carefully curated by the owner, the building itself designed by his architect brother. The place has history and good taste; it has soul!
There is a selection of rooms to suit your budget. Obviously, the ones at the front are a tad more expensive, but they are worth every cent and penny.
For me, one glance was sufficient. This was my base in Hunza. And given unfinished business with the hard, beautiful landscape, I shall no doubt lodge here again.
A final word about the staff. They are all unforgettably lovely people and I shall miss them in the same way I will miss Pakistan, a 'Hard Country' in the words of Anatol Lieven, but with a soul as vast and inspiring as the mighty Karakoram itself. Inshallah, I shall return...

Good location
Stayed at Old Hunza Inn for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! There are a variety of rooms at different price points, but for around $25/night I had a gorgeous Mountain View and a queen bed with a private bathroom — what more can you ask for in Karimabad. The WiFi was surprisingly fast most of the time, though expect short and frequent electricity cuts, which are the norm for Karimabad. Breakfast was good, and the common area/reception area has wonderful seating areas with gorgeous mountain views, perfect for chilling out. The property also has nice gardens with fruit trees as well as a rooftop if you’re looking for more places to soak in the views. It’s right near zero point at the bottom of the bazaar, so a short but uphill walk to the start of restaurants/shops. Felt perfectly safe as a solo female traveler.
Be ready for a somewhat steep uphill walk to the main bazaar, but it's fairly quick (~10 min).

ほかの旅人も滞在してるので、一緒にフンザを巡ることができたことが良かった。
お湯が出るまで時間がかかった。日中は電気やWiFiが通って無かった。

また他にも到着した後でもツアーや中国へのバスチケットの手配をしてくださったり、とても柔軟に対応していただけました。
