Excellent location in a very nice small town. Julia at the reception was great and patient with explanations, especially parking. She helped with a map and orientation to sites.
The bed was comfortable, bathroom was luxurious. Excellent breakfast.

I read about parking from previous posts, the garage is 30 m,about 30 yards away, and there are ramps. When you get the ticket, validate it on the first floor by the attendant for €6, the hotel does not validate.

This is one of the best properties we stayed at during our two week vacation in Portugal. The room was great. The staff was over the top. The location is excellent. Let me tell you the breakfast is certainly beyond and above. If you’re going to TOMAR, please take time and stay at this wonderful place.

This hotel was one of the highlights of my two months in Portugal. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were all fluent in English and still entertained my attempts at practicing Portuguese. The location could not be better. I had two wonderful evenings overlooking the medieval town square in complete peace. Waking up and opening the balcony doors to a view of the church and convent on the hill was wonderful. I would highly recommend a stay in this hotel. The breakfast was top.
Fantastic location. Amazing staff. Beautiful rooms. Delicious meals. The Hotel Republica is a wonderful option from which to enjoy the many historical sites and incredible history of Tomar.
