Disappointing for the price charged.
Pros:

It was in a quiet rural location, very atmospheric in the snow, altho a little awkward walking into town because of the heavy snowfall. There were shuttle mini-buses to some ski areas and to a supermarket. The staff were very helpful.

Cons:

The hotel appeared to be an annexe of a larger hotel. The entrance to the Nire no Ki was unstaffed and unwelcoming, with no decoration. The room was rather uncomfortable, with only a high table and a bar stool. There was nowhere to sit comfortably.
The breakfast choices were somewhat limited for non-meat or non-fish eaters.
Very unreliable wi-fi coverage.
It looked as though the two hotels need a major investment to bring them up to their obvious potential.

スタッフの皆さんはどなたも良い対応でした。

Cons:

＊部屋の「室内」「トイレ」ともに換気扇が作動していなかった。特に「トイレ」は一度使うときつい匂いが立ち込めて最悪だった。
＊室内に湯沸かし用のIHヒーターと３００ｃｃ程度のステンレスカップがあったが、給湯の蛇口で最も熱い湯を入れてＩＨヒーターに乗せても沸騰までに８分かかった。湯沸かしカップの容量が小さすぎるしＩＨヒーターの能力も低い。また、一度湯沸かしＩＨヒーターを使うとＩＨヒーターが熱くなりすぎるのか２回目の湯沸かしはほとんど加熱されないのにＩＨヒーターの電源が落ちてしまって湯沸かしができなかった。→カップヌードル用のお湯すら沸かせなかった。
フロントに「お湯が沸かせない」と苦情を伝えたら別の湯沸かしヒーターを持ってきてくれたが同じ機種のヒーターで状況はなにも改善されなかった。
＊室内に調理用と思われるＩＨヒーターがあったが調理用の鍋が無いので調理ができない。また、このヒーターに湯沸かし用のステンレスカップを乗せて使ってみたがいつまでたっても沸騰しなかった。
＊大浴場のヘアドライヤーが一台しかなくて順番待ちをして使わなくてはいけなかった。またヘアードライヤーが故障しているのか、使用中に時々冷風が出て来てしまい実に不快だった。
＊室内のテレビが数十年前の物と思われる。サイズが小さい（１２インチ程度？）し画面も見たことがないようなひどい色だった。
＊2連泊したが室内には小さなゴミ箱が一個あっただけで、菓子や食品などのごみで溢れてしまった。2泊目でもごみは捨てられていなかった。
＊ロビーに設置してあるソファーが、色は褪せているしクッションスプリングはへたってしまっていてクッション性はまったくなくなっている。どこかのゴミ捨て場から拾ってきたのかと思うようなひどいものだった。

Pros:

Large rooms for the price including 2 western style beds and a large tatami mat and futon with all the bedding. Breakfast was great, large spread of choices. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful.

Decent place to stay. Not a luxury hotel. Does what it does well.
Pros:

The staff were nice. The vending machines were good. The drying room facilities were the best I’ve seen anywhere in the world. The sports bar has cheap drinks and Nintendo 64.

Cons:

The room could have been cleaner when we arrived. The blankets really need to be thrown out and replaced.

Great peaceful retreat in Hakuba with an onsen and breakfast included option!
Pros:

How it it kind of country side and day from the lights and sounds of main town Hakuba. We really came there for the snowboarding so snowboard all day, eat and sleep was our jam. We will be staying in the city outside of this part of our trip so having a good rest and waking up early the day after was important for us.

We liked how the bus had shuttles to selected places but mainly the bus terminal and they accommodated us and picked us up before 3pm on the first day.

We forgot our magnet in the hotel so they sent that for us to Hokkaido on our next leg of the trip so really appreciating the hospitality.

Cons:

Just slightly outdated but all the essentials were there. No complaints!

Perfect! I Will come Back
Pros:

I liked everything! The staff were always very helpful! Especially the motoshi (driver) who was always smiling and ready to help! Another wonderful thing is the bus to the stations that stops in front of the hotel! Very practical and convenient!

The regular shuttles to slopes

Cons:

The property is in a terrible location to get sound places, Ubers and taxis are rarely available which will catch you walking up to an hour in thick snow during winter just to get food. Accomodation was very average considering the price. Breakfast and dinner service was average, mostly cold when served. Probably wouldn’t recommend anyone go stay here again.

Pros:

I love the place with convenience of short drive to Happo-One, even within walking distance. The room was spacious and free breakfast was great! The free drying room and onsen made it even better. The location at outskirt of town made it quiet and not as busy as it gets in town center.

Cons:

The place is really old, could do some reno. The walk to the onsen is really chilling, as mentioned by other preview, it is in another building, same as laundry and breakfast spot.

The room wasn’t very clean lots of dust and very small. The building is in desperate need of renovations to continue operating. The room wasn’t enjoyable to stay in. Perhaps the main building is a little better.
