Jonquil Motel

Quiet, clean, comfortable, great location, happy with the price

This was a perfectly acceptable place to stay in Bisbee, but it is a motel, not a resort, so adjust your expectations. It seems to be a family-run place and the woman who checked us in was as friendly as can be. The rooms look a whole lot better on the inside than the outside. Though the building’s clearly been here awhile, the inside is clean and renovated. Our room had a refrigerator and small table. Wifi worked fine. Good water pressure in the shower. A big “plus” for this motel is that it has its own adjacent parking lot whereas parking seems to be a challenge along many narrow winding Bisbee streets. There’s also a quiet/secluded “garden” area out the back that’s available to guests. The only two downsides that I see are (1) no breakfast like many places offer these days and (2) no ice machine. However, there is a Circle K just a block away where you can pick up whatever you need. Also, there’s a market/café, a pizza place, and a Vietnamese noodle shop just a short walk down the hill (plus, we saw a “coming soon” sign for a new location of the Bisbee Breakfast Club near the pizza place).
