How to get to Hosteria Cananvalle:
Follow the Panamericana highway until you get to Avenida Vacas Galindo avenue, which runs parallel to the railroad tracks, and turn west (left if coming from Quito, right if from Tulcan). Keep going along Avenida Vacas Galindo until the divided road ends and you cross the railroad tracks. At that point, take the first paved right. You’ll cross the railroad tracks, and as you pass the Pensionado Atahualpa school, do not follow the paved road to the left but instead go straight on the cobblestone road. Follow the signs for the last 2953 feet.

The location is perfect for us, very quiet surrounded by nature but conveniently close to Ibarra. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is very good and filling. The room was very clean as well. We were the only guests, so there were no disturbances at all.

Located outside of busy Ibarra in an avocado/coffee plantation, this hotel offers a relaxing stay. Only having the chance to have a conversation with the owner (Carlos) is worth the nightly price.

Beautiful location, comfortable rooms and excellent food, including the coffee produced on site. The staff are terrific and ready to help with anything from suggestions of places to go, calling cabs or arranging longer distance transportation.
The location is beautiful, quiet and serene. The staff was helpful and accommodating. They ensured we were satisfied with our room choice and were very attentive.
