Very basic breakfast with minimal choice.
Very limited choice for dinner for someone with a garlic allergy although the eventual dinner was tasty.
The staff were far from welcoming and could hardly look up to say goodbye when we handed in the key.
The best shower so far of our NC500 tour!
Practices are very old fashioned, for example phones in rooms. Decor needs updating.
Stayed here whilst doing the nc500, room was not what we were expecting, outside in the car park, when we arrived room was freezing with no heating on 4 degrees outside, had to go across to reception to get them to turn the heating on, went across to the hotel for dinner, waitress had over powering perfume on, food was good quality, wine selection was poor only 1 rose wine and its zinfandel. Breakfast was dreadful, worst I've had, sausage bacon and egg and a potato scone that's it for a full breakfast, all items of poor quality including the tea, certainly won't be returning to stay here.
Room was clean. Dinner was good when it arrived after 1 meal was missing ingredients. Basically my husband was finished his meal by the time I got mine. The waitress was very helpful and friendly.

Room was in the car park at the back of the hotel and separate from the hotel. Only 1 window and quite dark and cold on arrival. We did not expect this.
Dinner was missing an ingredient and when the staff were informed the chef questioned this but was in the wrong as proven when the dish was taken back to the kitchen.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room was comfortable and clean and was a decent size.
The hot water was lukewarm in the afternoons. Some of the grouting around the bath/shower was mouldy.

El hotel es correcto, caro para los estándares en España pero la verdad es que en la población de Thurso no había opciones mucho mejores. Fueron amables porque nos consiguieron un taxi para desplazarnos al día siguiente al ferry y tuvimos la oportunidad de cenar.
para llegar a la habitación había que subir escaleras empinadas sin posibilidad de ascensor. Hubiera sido un problema con maletas grandes o personas de poca movilidad.
The staff was AMAZING. We ended having to stay an extra night and we were made comfortable. The entire staff, from housekeepers to the wait and bar staff made us feel like we were with friends.
