The owners are very nice people. the food was excellent and we didn’t pay much. Location is great
The water was leaking in the bathroom (toilet and shower). The bed wasn’t very comfortable (it squeaked at the slightest movement)
Very good location + parking spot
Many things were broken: the window frames, toilet cistern, toilet cleaning brush. Also the breakfast was very modest.

Hotelul este aproape de centru, aprox. 2 min. mers pe jos. Aerul condiționat deși vechi a funcționat perfect. Foarte curat in camera, totul functional si impecabil. Micul dejun a fost așa și așa, nu prea ai multe multe opțiuni gen crenvurști/carnati sau diverse salate, totul este mai simplist. Privelistea este frumoasa de la geam. Personalul este foarte prietenos si te îndrumă unde poti mânca decent. Foarte frumoasa localitatea, iar locuitorii sunt foarte serviabili oferindu-ți preparate locale pentru degustare.
Vinul local roze demisec este excelent!!!
Totul a fost perfect, mai puțin (nu am depunctat) furnicile din camera in zona geamului (cu putin insecticid anti-insecte veti rezolva problema) deoarece casa este rustică.
A very pleasant stay and a great choice for a stopover on the way to Greece.
We arrived at Hotel Bolyarka very late, after an extremely long and tiring day of driving through Bulgaria, including secondary roads and winding mountain roads, and finally in the rain. We were travelling with our two dogs, who were welcomed without any problems.
The hotel has a wonderful traditional character that fits perfectly with the atmosphere of Melnik. The solid wood furniture and the overall atmosphere give the place a lot of charm, and our room also had a small, lovely balcony where we could enjoy some fresh air.
The next morning, after finally getting some rest, we discovered how beautiful Melnik really is. The narrow streets, traditional houses and historic atmosphere make it a very special little town. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which was tasty, simple and felt genuinely authentic.
The staff were very kind and helpful, which made a particularly good impression on us. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely choose Hotel Bolyarka again. It is a very good option for an overnight stop on the way to Greece, although Melnik itself is worth spending a little time exploring.
What could be improved
There were only a few small things that could make the stay even better.
The room may have felt a little smaller than expected, although this may also have been influenced by how exhausted we were when we arrived late that evening.
As the restaurant is in the same building, there can be some noise in the evening, particularly when there is a football match or a lively group of guests. In our case, we mentioned it and the situation was eventually resolved, so this was not a major problem.
We also noticed a small leak from a bathroom pipe which would be worth checking as part of routine maintenance.
A very picturesque spot where we spent a quiet night on the way to Greece. Very good food, extremely hospitable hosts. 10 points out of 100.

El bany era petit i no tenia plat de dutxa ni cortina. És a dir, et podies dutxar però es mullava tot el bany. Això era una mica incòmode.
