Charming
Pros:

Charming family-run hotel, which has been in the family for decades. It's very traditional, which is part of its attraction, and the family does a fantastic job of looking after you.

The lakeside location is a big plus, but for me the five stars go to the dinner on the lakeside terrace: not only did we have a beautiful outlook, but the cooking was first-class - all hausgemacht.

Cons:

Air conditioning in the room was a bit Heath-Robinson. We relied on the electric fan in the very hot weather, which worked well but was a bit noisy.

Friendly hotel in a stunning location
Pros:

A lovely family hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Our family room was spacious and comfortable with a large private bathroom, two armchairs and a small balcony. We also had a useful little fridge and a kettle. From our windows, we had incredible views over stunning Lake Lucerne. Breakfast was adequate and tasty with a selection of fresh croissants, bread, cereal, cheese, cold meat and also eggs on request. The highlight of our stay was being able to cross the small, quiet road outside the hotel and get straight into the lake from the jetty to swim. Our children loved the free use of the hotel paddle boards, and we enjoyed using the hotel's small, shaded sunbed area next to the lake. The lake was clean and not too cold for swimming, though you are immediately out of your depth. We enjoyed swimming in the lake so much that we didn't even use the neighbouring hotel's swimming pool which is shared with Hotel Gotthard. The location is very convenient for the boat stop from Lucerne and a short walk from the cable-car up Mount Rigi. Weggis itself is peaceful with beautiful lakeside walks. The hotel gave clear information and let us know in advance that their pizza restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday. If you are on a budget, there is a COOP supermarket up the road and you can also order pizza to be delivered.

Cons:

Everything in Switzerland was very expensive including eating at the hotel restaurant, but that is par for the course in Switzerland.

Entspannte Tage im Seehotel Gotthard am schönen Vierwaldstättersee
Pros:

Wir hatten 10 sehr erholsame Tage in Weggis und Umgebung. Ein schönes Hotel mit einer top Lage direkt am See. Alles sauber und gepflegt. Die Gastgeber und das Personal immer aufmerksam und freundlich! Regionales Frühstück mit guter Auswahl, besonders lecker der Küssnachter Käse ;-) Für die Hotelgäste gibt es einen Bereich mit Liegen, Schirmen, Pool vom Nachbarhotel und zur freien Nutzung ein Kajak und mehrere SUP`s. Der Besuch des Seerestaurants ein Muss!

Cons:

In unserem Bad gab es zu wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten. Ein kleines Regal wäre ganz praktisch

Закуската беше изобилна и подходяща за всякакви вкусове. Имаше и регионални продукти- сирена, колбаси и конфитюри. Местоположението на хотела е уникално, ресторантът на терасата предлага отлична кухня, персоналът е учтив. Бяхме приятно изненадани от климатика в стаята. Останахме с отлични впечатления и отново ще го посетим!

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt mit zuvorkommender Belegschaft/Host's. Komme wieder!!
Pros:

Zimmer: sehr sauber, hell. Ausgestattet mit Teekocher/Nespressomaschine inkl. Kapseln/Rahm etc. einfach toller Service!

Frühstück: Ausgiebiges, vielfältiges Frühstücksbuffet mit sehr aufmerksamer Bedienung.

Lage: Wenige Gehminuten von Schiffanlegestelle. Gartenrestaurant direkt am See. Hotel von Gartenrestaurant durch recht ruhige Strasse getrennt. Kein Problem für die Nachtruhe!
