Great get away
Pros:

Staff was great. Very accommodating to our unusual check-in and check out needs. Friendly - family owned. No doubt there is a bar across the street. Delicious tacos and drink specials. Our room was across the street and it was very soundproofed. As someone who gets annoyed with loud music while trying to sleep - I had no issues whatsoever. Great vibe. Steps to the beach... coffee shop, etc.

Nothing fancy, great location, decent size rooms. Unless you’re in 101 under the bar, avoid that room at all costs. Big kahuna is across the street from the main lobby and is a decent bar with good food, strong drinks (be careful) and really awesome people! Staff is great! Overall a decent and fun place.

Cons:

The bar (big kahuna) across the street plays music, DJ or band every night of the week until 12 am. You can hear every word people say and every lyric until they are closed. Something to be aware of if you have kids or value your regular sleep schedule. Wasn’t the end of the world and mostly good music, especially the bands, however something to be aware of.

It wasnt terrible.
Pros:

The bed was firm.

Cons:

The pool looked completely toxic like white cloudy stuff couldn't tell it was water. It said beach front and ocean view but it was cpl blocks away and we didnt have windows. Toilet handle didnt work and I could get more water pressure from spitting in the air and standing under it to shower.

the loud party at the big kahuna bar on the weekend.I I love a good party but the DJ switched from old school reggeton to trap remixes. not a good music selection… they had ear plugs at the reception
