A very nice relaxed stay. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again
Pros:

WE loved the log fire, this was one of the reasons we booked here. After dinner it was so nice to sit there and read our books. The bar was never manned so you just help yourself and write down what you've had. We liked the relaxed vibe of the place.

Cons:

Breakfast was good, although cooked eggs were also an option to the European choice they weren't overjoyed at having to cook them when asked.

A very friendly family run hotel.
Pros:

I booked this hotel as I was visiting friends in nearby Menen, only a 5/10 minute drive away. I was the only guest, as the hotel was temporarily closed for the Belgium National Holiday on the 11th November, but the owners had kindly honoured my booking. I spent very little time in the hotel, as I was out with my friends from after breakfast until after supper each day. The breakfast was a very good continental style affair, with fresh bread, cold meats and cheese, cereal selection,tea/coffee, yogurt etc. The owners were very friendly and accommodated ny late arrival. I will certainly try and stay here again, if I return to the Menen area.

Cons:

I am used to a king size bed at home, so the single bed was not as comfortable as I am used to. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice, given my late arrival home each evening. In my opinion, nothing else could be improved.

Juste le miroir il faut mettre ou au salon ou dans la chambre pour madame, u petit miroir suffit.

If you want to visit Passiondale or Rubaix (which we did) this is a comfortable and friendly place.
Pros:

The breakfast was not part of the online offer so was an extra cost. Very good food.

Cons:

The owner provided a two course dinner on request.
There was no choice, although she did check that we were happy with her meal in advance, so don’t expect an actual restaurant. The food was very good and reasonable value, although the cost was not made clear in advance.

Pros:

Le petit dejeuner était bien. Le calme sauf les canards !! Hé oui la campagne. C'etait très très calme aucun bruit.

Cons:

Les Velux quelque peu "out" moustiquaire n'etait plus hermétique, problème de fermeture et beaucoup de moisissure, au bout des 7 jours différents symptômes tel que toux et rhinorrhée excessive. Dommage.

Friendly, family atmosphere
Pros:

The easy parking is just the red carpet for a great visit. The friendly, family atmosphere makes this a special place to stay. We were not disappointed with the breakfast option (which was an extra) but the thunder and lightning made for an exciting late evening. No opportunity to try the games - maybe next time.

Cons:

The remote location might not suit everyone, though it was fine with a car.
